Grubb Street The Council of the Town of Hertford held a Special Call Meeting at the Herford Community Center on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at9 9:30 a.m. COUNCIL MEMBERS PRESENT Earnell Brown, Mayor Ashley Hodges, Mayor Pro Tem STAFF PRESENT Aq quorum was present Connie Brothers Jerry Mimlitsch Sandra Anderson Janice McKenzie Cole, Interim Town Manager Mayor Brown called the meeting to order and Councilman Mimlitsch gave the invocation. This Mayor Pro Tem Hodges made a motion to withdraw from the Consent. Agenda the minutes of November 2, 2020 (7:30pm), November 9, 2020, June 1, 2021 June 3, 2021, June 8, 2021 and June 14, 2021 and to approve the Agenda as Amended. Councilman Mimlitsch seconded the motion. It passed unanimously. Thus, the minutes of November 2, 2020 (6:30pm) and June 29, was followed by the pledge of allegiance. APPROVAL OF AGENDA/CONSENT AGENDA 2021 were approved by consent. ESTIMATES FOR STORM DRAIN REPAIRS Manager Cole presented bids that were offered for the repair of various storm drain repairs by B.E. Singleton & Sons, Inc. and Enviro-Tech Unlimited Construction. There was a marked difference in the bids offered. The Enviro-Tech Unlimited Construction bid was specific and detailed about what their price represented. The B.E. Singleton & Sons, Inc. bid was not detailed and only encompassed piping repairs rather than the entire storm drain replacement. The motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Hodges to accept the bids by Enviro-Tech Unlimited fori the Storm Drain repair for Woodland Circle ($22,150) and' Williams Drive ($19,445.20) as the lowest responsive and responsible bid. The B.E. Singleton & Sons bid for the same work was $7,700 and $3,400 respectively. Councilman Mimlitsch seconded the motion. The motion Council Mimlitsch moved to adjourn the meeting.
