Jimmie Green made a motion to approve the Regular Agenda, as presented,with 20 nodiscussion, the motion carried unanimously. 22 III. APPROVALOF CONSENT, AGENDA 21 23 24 Chairman Tom Braaten presented the ECAHF Board with the Consent Agenda for their 25 review and approval. Amannequin was acquired for the female uniform and Richard Hazlett stated he needs to do some tailoring to complete for an exhibit. He is preparing to have the display ready for the Gala. Pam Holder provided the Treasurer's Report dated January 8, 2024. She mentioned we have started to get in revenue for the Gala along with a few expenses including the Harrier desk Iimmie Green made ai motion to accept the January 8. 2024 ECAHF Budget Report. She also reported Annunciation Catholic School had opened a STEM lab and may generate an increase in applicants. Teachers have been emailed regarding curriculum design, but have not had responses yet. OLD) BUSINESS A. 2024 Gala: February 23, 2024 Coll Mike Huber will be the speaker with the title "An Aviator's Journey tol Eastern North Carolina". Col Huber has provided a bio and photo Two Title Sponsors, CIVIC FCU and Lockheed Martin have not committed as of yet. WCTI-12 will be working out an "in-kind" sponsorship. Posters have not been printed due to waiting on Printingofmarketing: materialsl has alsol been delayed due tos staffing issues at ABC Printing. The print corrections will be handled in-house and posters with the sponsor logos have been posted on Facebook pages and Asofmeeting date, there have been three commitments for tables sponsors and one Silver Sponsorship. The sponsorship list was included in the packet. Board Members were asked to contact any potential sponsors not Pam Holder stated we are still in need of raffle items. Donations from local businesses for raffle items in the past have included meals, books, and hotel stays. Adam Persky has donated aj plane ride. Tom Braaten reviewed the Marketing Plan and items remaining were discussed. Inner Banks has agreed to do an in-kind donation. "Save the Date" card will be mailed within the next week pending Title Tom Braaten discussed the speaker gift. NEW BUSINESS A. Summer Camp Application Release on February 1, 2024 and close on April 5, 2024 Mary Beth Fennell recommended that scholarships be offered again this year as well as opportunities for the members oft the Boys and Girls Club. Commissioner Brenda Wilson also suggested including Annunciation Catholic School. Gramercy was also discussed. Jimmie Green asked ifwe could increase the number ofs students accepted into the Summer Camp and Mary Beth Fennell stated the teachers felt comfortable with limiting it to. 50. Tom Braaten mentioned the possibility of discussions with Craven County Schools and ECAHF would guarantee up to 10: scholarships for AIG students. There was more discussion, however no action was Commissioner Brenda Wilson questioned ift there would be solicitation ofs sponsors for scholarships. Pam Holder mentioned the advertisement for Summer Camp requests people interested in sponsoring a student to contact ECAHF and previous donors would be contacted again. Pam Holder also stated to the Board to let her know ifBoard Members were aware of anyone or business interested Tim Clark asked if there are a sufficient number of instructors for the Summer Camp and Mary Beth Fennell ensured there would be as it Tom Braaten questioned ifFAA approval would be needed to fly the drones outside.
