COMMIVTEEREPORIS Aircraft Curator Report Rich Hazlett reported the F4 has been dry brushed and the intake covers have been replaced. He mentioned that in the next budget year there could be funds to paint an aircraft and it should be the F-4. OLDBUSINESS A. 2024 Gala: February 23, 2024 Pam Holder presented the Gala Budget and reported the raffle brought in $1,580.00 and total revenue was $27,420.00. Expenses total to date $13,324.39. Extra expenditures included sales tax on the food and Facebookadvertising. Aiditonal,SandyHower Shoppe was notable to provide centerpieces this year, therefore purchases were made for decorations which were not previously considered. Jimmie Green made a motion to approve the 2024 Gala Budget Report. With no discussion the motion carried unanimously. After Action Report: Tom Braaten stated the After-Action Report was discussed during the Development Committee meeting and the main take away was to start considering theme for next year. He suggested to Jimmie Green stated he has previously recommended an air traffic Guy Nelson suggested marketing the raffle tickets more aggressively by emphasizing where the proceeds will go. Mary Beth Fennell and Mark Meno both agreed that people would be more likely to purchase raffle tickets ifi it was promoted where the funds would be used. Mary Beth Fennell said the same could be applied to membership. V Website Analytics Pam Holder reviewed the website analytics and made mention that website traffic was increased most likely due to Gala and Summer Camp inquiries. Adam Persky noted that numbers are very similar to February ofl last year. 3. NEW BUSINESS A. Possible New Static Display of AV-8B Tom Braaten suggested to table discussion in light of City Manager Christopher McGee not being present. However, City Commissioner Brenda Wilson reported she actually received the original phone call inquiring if the City would like to obtain an AV-8B and passed the information to the City) Manager. Initially the intention was to replace the current AV-8, however, she felt it would be advantageous to have an additional aircraft on the grounds at the TEC. The project is in the development stages as more information is needed. B. "Spring Showers Bring Stem Powers" Tom Braaten reported an event at Craven Community College on March 23, 2023 from 10am-lpm in which ECAHF has been asked to participate. Tom Braaten requested commitments to participate. Those available include: Tom Braaten, City Commissioner Brenda Wilson, Richard Hazlett and Jimmie Green. Tim Clark said it was a possibility he could attend. Educational Exhibits) C. STEM Day @ MCAS Cherry Point Air Show (Interactive and Chairman Tom Braaten informed the Board MCAS Cherry Pointi is planning a STEM day on Friday, May 10t, which is the weekend of the Air Show. Area schools will be transporting approximately 1000: sixth grade students to attend. ECAHF has been invited to participate by providing an interactive exhibit. The time scheduled is 9am to 2pm. Mark Meno discussed more details surrounding the event. The event will conflict with the scheduled Board of Directors meeting onl May 10, 2024 at 8:30am. Tom Braaten made a motion to reschedule the meeting to May 17.2024a at 8:30am. With no discussion, the motion passed unanimously. 142 IV. MEMBER COMMENTS Mark Meno gave an update on the STARBASE Program coming to Cherry Point. The DOD will work with local school systems to provide a STEM curriculum.
