OLD BUSINESS A. 2025 Gala: February 21, 2025 Chairman Tom Braaten questioned ift the application fora a guest speaker from NASA had been submitted. Pam Holder stated a requirement for the application was to: not submit prior to six months to the date of the event; however, the application process has been started. She mentioned the possibility of complications due to NASA stating fundraising events are typically not approved. Board Members discussed explanations on how the event is used to raise funds for STEM activities and education and making best use ofavisit froma a NASAbyscheduling multiple events Mayor Will Lewis referred to a previous Gala where fundraising was not allowed. The tables were sold via sponsorship; however, there was no fundraising such as, raffles or 50/50, etc. at the Gala. July 22-26, 2024 "Hovercraft Heroes" Mary Beth Fennell reported 60 students had been accepted and of which 31 are AIG students. Acceptance packets were emailed on May 3d. There is a waiting list. ECAHF Mission Statement Chairman Tom Braaten mentioned that he, Guy Nelson and Adam Persky have exchanged emails regarding updating the Mission Statement for ECAHF. Guy Nelson presented guidelines to consider in working on the Mission Statement along with some sentence Mayor Will Lewis stated ECAHF has evolved; therefore, a new. Mission Statement is needed.
