CALLMEETINGTOORDER Chairman Adam Persky called the Eastern Carolina Aviation Heritage Foundation (ECAHF) Development Committee meeting to order at 3:30 pm on June 4, 2024 at the Havelock Tourist & Event Center, Havelock, NC, with a quorum present. B. APPROVAL OFI MINUTES Chairman Adam Persky presented the minutes to the committee for their review and approval. Tom Braaten made a motion to approve the May 7,2024 Development Committee minutes with no corrections. The motion carried unanimously. Gala 2025-1 February21, 2025 . OLDBUSINESS Adam Persky discussed potential guest speakers for the 2025 Gala. Pam Holder mentioned that during thel last meeting it was decided the NASA application packet for Tom Braaten stated ift thel NASA application is not: approved then backup considerations would be someone to speak regarding unmanned aerial systems or FAA Air Traffic Chairman Adam Persky noted 60 students were accepted and notification emails sent out on Friday, May 3, 2024. Pam Holder reported 11 students had not responded and further contact has been attempted. To date 51 students have replied. Pam Holder reported that the curriculum is stilli in process and Mary Beth Fennell isi in communication with the teachers. She also stated she has purchased some materials and supplies for summer camp and used budgeted. Armistead funds. Quotes for tshirts from Tagg, Boardwalk, SunDogz and Bender Apparel have been received. Pam Holder requested guidance on which quote to pursue. Only one company, Tagg, provided a rendering, which was a requirement in the quote request. SunDogz had thel lowest price, but did not provide cost for design or a mock-up. The Pam Holder mentioned. she will call fora a meeting with the teachers on June 20,2024at Pam Holder presented al list of booths and reported updates on which participants will ber returning. Giveaways havel been ordered. She also stated the food donation requests Jimmie Green noted that the Craven County) K9 unit has not yeti responded and offered to contact the Carteret County Sheriff in the event Craven County is not available. Chairman Adam Persky said he was working onl his schedules sot that he would be available for the Fly-In and man the Parachute Drag booth. Pam Holder questioned ifa new or larger parachute is needed. Adam Persky stated he would looki intoi it. Pam Holders said the parachute was still in stock but the kids could not develop much of a drag. The Pam Holder gave an update on the marketing: the public schools in Jones, Carteret, Craven and Onslow Counties had been notified as well as Gramercy, St. Egberts and Annunciation. Tom Braaten questioned if the flyer was sent to Epiphany. Dianna Vaccarella stated it had not, but it will be. Pam Holder also updated the media outlets which have been contacted and noted that Dick's Broadcasting would like to do a podcast. Tom Braaten stated he would see ift that could be scheduled. Barry Fetzer mentioned sharing with the childcare facility on MCAS Cherry Point. Pam Holder presented the sponsorship form for review. Pam stated that would not be feasible; therefore, July 11+h and August 13th were suggested.
