Council Updates None at this time Consent Agenda None at this time Public Hearing to consider LDCamendments involving required Chapter 106D Mayor Whiteside stated that we will have the Public Hearing next week related to statute updates-Eric Rufa-Planning & Zoning Director. the LDC Amendments. Estimate for proposed street resurfacing projects-Ben Cathey, McGill & Mayor Whiteside stated that we will hear from Mr. Ben Cathey next week concerning the paving estimate on Golden Oaks Lane, Grove End Road and Regent Associates. Drive. Budget amendment to cover municipal participation match for pedestrian facilities on Howard Gap Road-Mark Biberdorf, Town Manager. Town Manager Mark Biberdorf stated that this is regarding the extension of the sidewalks that previously ended near the building what used to be a doctor's office and is now a pain management center. When the town requested the improvements on Howard Gap Road to extend up to HWY 25 one of the big items was the sidewalk that ended there. There is a requirement that we do a 20% match for materials. They did an estimate and they got their final cost and which is $7,280.56. These funds will come from unappropriated fund balance and Heather has prepared a formal budget amendment and we would like to move this to the Consent. Agenda for next week. Discussion Followed: Council agrees to move this budget amendment to the Consent. Agenda for next week. Update on projectsubmissions for FY 22-26 Capital Improvement plan-Mark Biberdorf, Town Manager. Town Manager Mark Biberdorf stated thatIcan do all this now orIcan go through this next week at the regular meeting. Mayor Whiteside stated that let's go ahead and go through this now. Town Manager Manager Mark Biberdorf fwent over the Capital Improvement requests from each department and answered questions that council had on these requested items. The Police Chief Search is continuing on we narrowed down the applications from 38 to 13 to send out a written exercise and those were due yesterday so Heather andI will be going through those. Then we will work on narrowing that down for structuredinterviews later this month. COVID-19 Updates nothing has changed for us since last month. We are wearing masks all the time except when you are in your office by yourself. The Budget work session is next week at 4:00 (just a: reminder). Department heads will give an overview of this past year's activities and then some highlights for big picture items in the upcoming year.
