REGULAR MEETING January 28, 2020 TOWN OF DAVIDSON BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS The Town of Davidson Board of Commissioners held its regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 in the Town Hall Board Room. Present were Mayor Rusty Knoxa and Commissioners Jane Campbell, Matthew Fort, Jim Fuller, Autumn Rierson Michael, and David! Sitton. Town Manager Jamie. Justice, Assistant Town Manager Karen Whichard, Communications Director Amanda Preston, Economic Development Manager Kim Fleming, Finance Director Pieter Swart, Human Resources Director Megan White, Parks and Recreation Interim Director Leslie Willis, Planning Director. Jason Burdette, Police Chief Penny Dunn, Project Manager Doug Wright, Town Attorney Cindy Reid, and Town Clerk Betsy! Shores were also present. At. 5:55 p.m., Commissioner Campbell made a motion to end closed: session and resume the ANNOUNCEMENTS Communications Director Amanda Preston made the following announcements: A Public Input Session for the Davidson Cottages Conditional Master Plan willl bel held on Wednesday, January 29, from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in town hall board room. The purpose oft the meetingi is to review the master plan and solicit feedback. An overview presentation by the project team will occur at 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., with time allotted for questions and viewing the plans in an open house format after Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) will bei introducing new Express Service routes starting next Monday, February 3rd. Particularly ofi interest for Davidson is a new Davidson Shuttle, and the 77X North Meck Express, which includes under 20-minute service during morning and evening rush hour from Davidson and Cornelius to Uptown. Livable Meck is an engagement infrastructure, bringing organizations together to enhance and protect the quality of life across our community and Mecklenburg County. Commissioner Fort was present via phone during the open session until he arrived at the meeting at 6:11 p.m. Finance Director Pieter Swart and Lead Auditor and Partner Ann Craven of Rowell, Craven and Short, PA presented the FY2019 Audited Financial Statements and CAFR for the Town of Davidson. Commissioner Fuller left the meeting at 6:31 p.m. PUBLIC COMMENTS The public comments period opened at 6:37 p.m. and closed at 6:51 p.m. Four people signed up to speak. Mayor Knox summarized the comments from the public hearing.
