Present were Mayor Rusty Knox and Commissioners Jane Campbell, Tracy Mattison Brandon, Matthew Dellinger, Ryan Fay, and Autumn Rierson Michael. Town Manager. Jamie. Amanda Preston announced thei following: The Davidson Fire Department and AP Triton are conducting a public input session' Wednesday, March! 9, 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. in the board room at Davidson Town Hall. Community members will be asked to share their thoughts and opinions oft the fire department and the services they provide. Ify you are not able to attend, the Davidson Fire Department will also gather feedback with an online survey. The Davidson community is invited to attend a publici input session for the proposed Davidson Condos Project on Monday, March 14, from 5:15 p.m. 7:00 p.m. at Davidson' Town Hall. The purpose of the meeting is to review the development proposal and solicit feedback. Overview presentations by staff and the project team will occur at 5:15 p.m. and 6:15 p.m., with time allotted for questions and viewing the Davidson residents are invited to celebrate. Arbor Day on Saturday, March 19 at Plum Creek Park (18928 Bartlette Creek Drive). There will be a brief ceremony: at 9:00 a.m. followed bya ai tree planting along the adjacent greenway. BUSINESS ITEMS (a) Charlotte Water has a contract with the Water and Sewer Authority of Cabarrus County (WSACC) to receive and treat up to sixi million gallons per day (MGD) of wastewater. As of October 2021, Charlotte Water has nearly reached the maximum limit of permitted: sewer follow to the WSACC: system and, therefore, has no additional treatment capacity in the WSACC: system. The path crosses private property, and the owner had not been willing to allow its use since 2016. The parcel has been sold and is part of an exempt subdivision plan. We have negotiated a price of $80,000 to record a permanent pedestrian easement with the new owners. The $80,000 purchase price is based on recent comparable land sales. The Dogwood Lane to Conroy Avenue Bike-Pedestrian Connector is a priority project included in the adopted Davidson Mobility Plan. Commissioner Rierson Michael made a motion to move approve Resolution 2022-03. Approving the Purchase of an Easement for a Bike-Pedestrian Connector, from Dogwood Lane to Conroy Avenue and Budget Amendment 2022-11.
