April 11, 2013 in the Board of Commissioners' Meeting Room at the new location, 25) E. Main Street, of the Town Hall. IL. ROLL CALL: Mayor Walter Weeks, Mayor Pro-Tem Dr. Linda Robinson, Commissioner Jerry Beasley, Commissioner Don Pleasant, Commissioner Allen Mosby and Commissioner JCAllen was present. Attorney Alton Bain was present. II. CALL' TO ORDER: order at' 7:00 pm. A quorum being present, Mayor Weeks called the first meeting at 25 E. Main Street to Commissioner Don Pleasant delivered the invocation and Mayor Weeks led those in attendance in the Pledge of Allegiance. IV.A APPROVALOF AGENDA: Mayor Weeks asked to add to Agenda under Old Business item B.-Code Enforcement RESOLVED, to approve Agenda adding item B-Code Enforcement under Old Business. MANAGERS UPDATE: Department Updates: Town Manager Kenny Cole thanked everyone who worked to get things together for the Board meeting. Mr. Cole informed the Board that the Town Hall would be moving Friday, April 19,2013. There will be a company here to move the furniture and the Town staff will be moving their own files. Mr. Cole updated the Board that Wednesday, April 17,2013 will be a walk through with USDA. Mr. Cole updated the Board the additional painting and front door replacement are items still scheduled to be completed. Mr. Cole reminded the Board the Coats Museum re-reopening will be. April 16", 10 am- 12 pm. Mr. Cole shared that ai meet the "New County Manager" will be on April 15th6 Police ChiefJeremy Hall presented the Board with the department stats from March 14th Recreation Director Mike Collins informed the Board about programs at the park including "Rethink Your Drink" sponsored by the Harnett County Health Department. Mr. Collins stated that the softball/baseball schedules have been completed and 117 pm-7 pm at the County Administration Building, in Lillington. April 11,2013. (Reference #1) games will be played. Librarian Rebecca DallaMura shared with the Board the continued 6% circulation and also Jackie Frye will be joining her speaking at the Kiwanis Club this month. Public Works Director Gary Denton stated what a good job was being done on Highway 55 paving and Wal-Mart are setting their fuel tanks. 2 VII. OLD BUSINESS: A. Consider Revising Seal Bid Date of Surplus Town Hall. Town Manager Kenny Cole informed the Board that the previous Sealed Bid opening for the Town Hall was April 17,2013 and due to the date oft the advertisement it failed to assure the 30 days requirement by the State Statute. Mr. Cole requested to amend the Resolution and Bidding requirements amending the bid date to May 20, 2013. Mayor Weeks also promoted the Coats Baptist 2nd annual "Celebrating Spiritual Unity" event on May 4th, 1lam - 5pm. Pat Godwin announced the Business of the Month going to Teddy Byrd Insurance Co. and will be presented at 1 pm on May 17, 2013. X.
