Adoption of the Agenda  Mayor Ken Rethmeier called the meeting to order.  Ton Manager. Lee Rollins asked to amend tbe proposed agenda to move item. 5. C. Gate Operations Update as thej first item forc consideration, and Council Member Ken Bateman asked to include item. 5. D. Above Ground Pools - Continued Discussion, and5. E. Monthly. Agenda Meeting VS. Monthly Council Meeting. Council Member Jery West made the motion to approve amended agenda, and Councill Member. Edc Coley. seconded tbe motion. The motion ias approved bya  vote offiue (5)inj favor and none opposed.  3. Approval ofthe June 28, 2016 Agenda Meeting Minutes  Coumoil Member Ed Coley made a motion to approve tbe minutes from the June 28, 2016. Agenda. Meeting. Coumcil Member  Shirley Cagle. seconded. the motion. The motion ivas approved by a vote offve (5)inj favor and none opposed.  4. Citizen's Comments - None wished to speak.  5. Items for Consideration A. Update - Gate Operations  Ryan Daniels with Universal Protection gave an update on the recent retraining ofs staff at. Bermuda Run gates. He assured the Town Council that they are taking things seriously and are. here to do what is asked of them by the Council. Mayor Rethmeier stressed the importance of making residents aware of their responsibilities as residents ofa gated community. They were reminded of the recent letter mailed to all residents living behind the gates, instructing them on the methods to schedule guests and set up a permanent guest list. ClubCorp has been very responsive in setting up members that do not have RFID stickers for gate access, as well as country club employees. Town Manager Lee Rollins will bei in communication with Bermuda Village regarding their responsibility with gate operation communication. Mayor Rethmeier suggested more Constant Contact emails reminding residents oft their responsibilities.  B. NCDOT Speed Study  As a result of Resolution 2016-03: request NCDOT Conduct a Speed Limit Study, NCDOT conducted five speed studies within the Bermuda Run corporate limits on US 158 and NC 801. NCDOT does not recommend lowering the speed limit in the 45 mph sections any further due to the study.    DRAFT -I Marketing Recommendations for Bermuda Run TDA  Town Manager Lee Rollins provided a DRAFT report that was distributed to the Bermuda Run TDA members on July 20. They will meet on. August 16 to go over the report and prepare questions for DMAProz to clarify before a final reporti is issued. Information was provided only for review by  Council, and Lee Rollins will provide feedback after the. August meeting.  D. Above Ground Pools = Continued Discussion from June 28, 2016 Agenda Meeting Council Member. Ken Bateman made a motion: "Town Council reguests the Tom Plaming Board to review Ton Rim Zoning Regulation, Chapter 9, to determine tbej feasibility of regulating the placement of "oversize" recreational, inflatable devices. sucb as. simming pools, slides, bouncing pad/encosures, etc. for any specific period of time.. Member Ed Coley seconded tbe motion. The motion was approved by a vote offour (4) inj favor and none opposed. Council Member. Ken Bateman made ai motion for tbe following to be voted on at tbe Angust 9, 2016 Council Meeting: "Toj promote full transparency and disclosure ofTown Council's proceedings and processes, both the Agenda Meeting Minutes and the Council Meeting Minutes will be posted on the Town of Bermuda Run's website. in chronological order of occurrence, displaying a rolling thirteen-month period." Mayor Rethmeier- - There will be no column from him in the September Bermuda Run Living Magazine. He also gave update that the Sticht Center. ACE (Acute Care forl Elderly) is excited about coming to the Davie Medical Center. Healso clarified with Lee Rollins that the construction on the  roundabout will begin after Labor Day, 2016.  7. Town Manager Comments  An email from Kinderton Village regarding a comment from Captain Parker with the Sheriff's Department was shared - implying that speeders could not be charged because the "stop signs" were not ofl legal size.
