Approval ofthe June 28, 2016 Agenda Meeting Minutes Coumoil Member Ed Coley made a motion to approve tbe minutes from the June 28, 2016. Agenda. Meeting. Update - Gate Operations Ryan Daniels with Universal Protection gave an update on the recent retraining ofs staff at. Bermuda Run gates. He assured the Town Council that they are taking things seriously and are. here to do what is asked of them by the Council. Mayor Rethmeier stressed the importance of making residents aware of their responsibilities as residents ofa gated community. They were reminded of the recent letter mailed to all residents living behind the gates, instructing them on the methods to schedule guests and set up a permanent guest list. ClubCorp has been very responsive in setting up members that do not have RFID stickers for gate access, as well as country club employees. Town Manager Lee Rollins will bei in communication with Bermuda Village regarding their responsibility with gate operation communication. Mayor Rethmeier suggested more Constant Contact emails reminding residents oft their responsibilities. B. NCDOT Speed Study As a result of Resolution 2016-03: request NCDOT Conduct a Speed Limit Study, NCDOT conducted five speed studies within the Bermuda Run corporate limits on US 158 and NC 801. NCDOT does not recommend lowering the speed limit in the 45 mph sections any further due to the study. DRAFT -I Marketing Recommendations for Bermuda Run TDA Town Manager Lee Rollins provided a DRAFT report that was distributed to the Bermuda Run TDA members on July 20. They will meet on. August 16 to go over the report and prepare questions for DMAProz to clarify before a final reporti is issued. Information was provided only for review by Council, and Lee Rollins will provide feedback after the. August meeting. D. Above Ground Pools = Continued Discussion from June 28, 2016 Agenda Meeting Council Member. Mayor Rethmeier- - There will be no column from him in the September Bermuda Run Living Magazine. He also gave update that the Sticht Center. ACE (Acute Care forl Elderly) is excited about coming to the Davie Medical Center. Healso clarified with Lee Rollins that the construction on the roundabout will begin after Labor Day, 2016. 7. Town Manager Comments An email from Kinderton Village regarding a comment from Captain Parker with the Sheriff's Department was shared - implying that speeders could not be charged because the "stop signs" were not ofl legal size.
