Call to Order Mayor Kenneth Rethmeier, Ken Bateman; Ed Coley; John Guglielmi and Jerry West Shirley Cagle Lee Rollins, Town Manager; Brian Williams, Town Attorney; Janet Smith, Planning Board Chair; Erin Burris, Town Planner Mayor Ken Rethmeier called the meeting to order. 2. Adoption of the Agenda Council Member John Guglielmi made ai motion to adopt tbe agenda as presented. Council Member Jery West. seconded the motion. The motion wvas approved by ai vote gffour (4) inj favor and none opposed. 3.. Approval of the February 23, 2016 Agenda Meeting Minutes Council Member Ken Bateman made a motion to qpprove the mimutes from the Febrary 23, 2016. Agenda Meeting. Council Member. Ed Coley. seconded the motion. The motion was approved by a vote offour (4) inj favor and none opposed. 4. Citizen's Comments - None wished to speak. 5. Items for Consideration A. Review ofDRAFT 2016-2017 Working Budget for the General Fund Town Manager, Lee Rollins, provided the Town Council with projections fora 2016-2017 budget of the General Fund, ift the Davie County Commissioners move forward and receive a reduction in sales tax allocation. The scenario provided shows a total allocation ofs sales tax revenues at $243,469. This is a reduction of $273,321 from the current budget year. Mayor Rethmeier provided the Town Council with information to assimilate where potential budget cuts might take place. 6. Council/Mayor Comments John Guglielmi - No comments Ed Coley - Recommended incorporating core services into the base budget first. Jerry West-Recommended a flashing light for the roundabout. Ken Bateman - Ifany cuts have to take placing regarding core services, also recommends cutting' Town Council Member pay by 50% and challenges the Davie County Board of Commissioners to do the same. Mayor Rethmeier - Reiterated his concern as to the process in the deliberations by the Davie County Commissioners on the Sales Tax issue. He will continue to advocate and educate on behalf oft the Town. Witb noj further business, Council Member, Jery West made ai motion to adjour. The motion ivas seconded by Council Member. Ed 8.
