Town of Bermuda Run Town Council Meeting Minutes August 9, 2016 - 7:00 PM  The Town Council of Bermuda Run held its scheduled meeting on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at' 7:00 Council Members Present: Mayor Kenneth A. Rethmeier, DrPH; Ken Bateman; Shirley Cagle;  PM. The meeting was held at Bermuda Run Town Hall.  John Guglielmi and Jerry West  Council Members Absent: Ed Coley; Brian Williams, Town Attorney  Also Present: Call to Order Pledge of Allegiance Moment of Silence Adoption of the Agenda  Lee Rollins, Town Manager  Mayor Rethmeier called the meeting to order.  Council Member John Guglielmi made a motion to adopt the agenda as presented. Council Member Shirley seconded the motion. The motion was approved by a vote offour (4) inj favor and none opposed. Council Jerry West made a motion to approve the. July. 12, 2016. meeting minutes as presented. Council Member. Ken Bateman seconded the motion. The motion was approved by a vote offour (4) inj favor  Approval of the. July 12,2016 Meeting Minutes  and none opposed. Citizens Comments There were none.  Presentation: Davie County Feasibility Update  Jonathan Guy, ai traffic consultant with Kimley-Horn, provided an update to the Town Council on the ongoing Transportation Feasibility Impact Study by Davie County. Mr. Guy's presentation addressed the US1 158/NC 801 intersection, as well as the US 158 corridor from Baltimore road back to the intersection with NC 801 inl Bermuda Run. The initial analysis does show that a double lane roundabout would work at the intersection. There have been no formal recommendations at this time,  nor have the Davie County Commissioners adopted the study.    Proposal to Add Agenda Meeting Minutes to the Town Website  Council Member Ken Bateman made ai motion, "Toj promote full transparency and disclosure ofTown Council's 's proceedings and processes, both the Agenda Meeting Minutes and the Council Meeting Minutes be posted on the Town ofBermuda Run' 's website in chronological order ofoccurrence, Council Member Shirley Cagle seconded the motion. The motion was approved by a vote offour (4) in  displaying a rolling thirteen month period. "  favor and none opposed. Appreciates the brush and limb clean up.  The Town should bej proud oft their website. Recommend doing more eblasts Would like tol have town staff analyze the hits associated with the Town website. Still very concerned about speeding on state roads within the town limits. Wants  Mayor Rethmeier: Mentioned Bank of America is closing their branch office ini the Lowe's shopping  center in October.  toj provide a safe environment for everyone.
