Town of Bermuda Run Town Council Meeting Minutes July 12, 2016-7 7:00 PM  The Town Council of Bermuda Run held its scheduled meeting on' Tuesday,July 12, 2016 at 7:00 PM. Council Members Present: Mayor Kenneth A. Rethmeier, DrPH; Ken Bateman; Shirley Cagle;  The meeting was. held at Bermuda Run Town Hall.  Ed Coley; John Guglielmi and Jerry West  Council Members Absent: None  Also Present: Call to Order Pledge of Allegiance Moment of Silence Adoption of the Agenda  Lee Rollins, Town Manager; Brian Williams, Town Attorney; and Erin Burris, Zoning Administrator Mayor Rethmeier called the meeting to order.  Council Member Ken Bateman made a motion to adopt the agenda as presented. Council. Member. Ed Coley.seconded the motion. The motion was approved by a vote offive (5) infavor and none opposed. Council. John Guglielmi made ai motion to approve the. June 14, 2016 meeting minutes as presented. Council MemberJerry West. seconded the motion. Public Hearing: TA 2016-02 Environmental Protection  Erin Burris provided aj presentation oft the proposed text amendments to the zoning ordinance. The administrative text amendments are intended to make environmental protection regulations consistent with the adopted Flood Damage Prevention Ordinance, provide clarity and flexibility for open space requirements, update stormwater mitigation standards to be consistent with state law and techniques, and amend any related definitions. Affected sections: Chapters 10 and 12 oft the Town Zoning Mayor Rethmeier opened the public hearing, asking those in attendance if they would like to make comments on the proposed text amendments. There were none wishing to speak. Mayor Rethmeier then Mayor Rethmeier asked the Town Council ift they had any comments or questions regarding TA 2016-  Ordinance.  closed the public hearing. 02. Environmenta Protection.    Council MemberJerry West made ai motion to approve the text amendments for the reasons state in the report and ini the minutes recorded in the public hearing, the Town Council finds that the amendments arej fully consistent with the Town of Bermuda Run Comprehensive Plan (specifically strategies L5, L6 and P3) and considers the action to be reasonable and ini the public interest. Council Member Shirley Cagle. seconded the motion. The motion was approved by a vote offive (5) inj favor and none opposed.
