Town of Bermuda Run Town Council Meeting Minutes May 10, 2016-7 7:00 PM  The Town Council of Bermuda Run held its scheduled meeting on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 7:001 PM. Council Members Present: Mayor Kenneth A. Rethmeier, DrPH; Ken Bateman; Shirley Cagle;  The meeting was held at Bermuda Run Town Hall.  John Guglielmi and Jerry West  Council Members Absent: Ed Coley  Also Present: Call to Order Pledge of Allegiance Moment of Silence Adoption of the Agenda  Lee Rollins, Town Manager; Brian Williams, Town Attorney;  Janet Smith, Planning Board Chair Mayor Rethmeier called the meeting to order.  Council Member John Guglielmi made a motion to adopt the agenda as presented. Council. Member Jerry West seconded the motion. The motion was approved by a vote offour (4) inj favor and none  opposed.  Approval of the April 12,2016 Meeting Minutes  Council Ken Bateman made a motion to approve the April 12, 2016 meeting minutes as amended. Council Member Shirley Cagle seconded the motion. The motion was approved by a vote offour (4) in  favor and none opposed. Citizens Comments There were: none.  Request Town Council Hold a Public Hearing on June 14, 2016 to Offer Public Comment on the Lee Rollins asked the Town Council to vote to hold a Public Hearing at 7:00PM on' Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at the Bermuda Run Town Hall, to offer public comment for the proposed 2016-2017 budget. Council Member Shirley Cagle made a motion to advertise and hold aj public hearing on Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at 7:00pm at the Bermuda Run Town. Hall. to offer public comment on the proposed. 2016- 2017 Town budget. Council Member John Guglielmi seconded. the motion. The motion was approved  Proposed 2016-2017 Town Budget  by a vote offour (4) inj favor and none opposed.    Appoint Wayne Thomas to Replace Angela Carleton on the Bermuda Run Tourism Development Bermuda Run Tourism Development Authority member, Angela Carleton, submitted her resignation effective May 10, 2016. She has taken ai new position with the Wake Forest Baptist Development Office. Wayne Thomas, owner of WinMock Barn and Sterling Events has agreed to an appointment on Council Member John Guglielmi made a motion to appoint Wayne Thomas as ai member ofthe Bermuda Run Tourism Development. Authority toj fill the remainder of Angela Carleton 's term.. Council Member. Jerry West seconded. the motion. The motion was approved by a vote offour (4) inj favor and  Authority  the TDA Board to fill Ms. Carleton's unexpired term.  none opposed.  Presentation of Manager's Proposed 2016-2017' Town Budget  Town Manager, Lee Rollins, presented his budget message and proposed 2016-2017 budget to the Town Council. The proposed budget willl be placed on the Town website, distribution via Constant Contact email, and a Public Hearing Notice posted in the Davie County Enterprise Record.  Council/Mayor Comments Jerry West:  Will be reviewing proposed Town revenues off oft the projected sales tax revenues. Wants to further: review the value and impact proposed projects bring.  John Guglielmi: Noticed that two oft the Welcome to Bermuda Run signs were missing. Ken Bateman: Encourage the citizens of Bermuda Run to review the proposed budget and offer Shirley Cagle: Reminded all oft the upcoming May 28th Beach Music Concert on the Town Green. Mayor Rethmeier: Thanked Mr. Rollins for his efforts on the proposed budget. Hei reminded those in  comment.  attendance that the projects identified by the Town Council in the. January Planning Session are not one year projects. Thus, the Town Council will need to look at  multiple years of projected revenues to pay for the projects.
