Town of Bermuda Run Town Council Meeting Minutes April 12, 2016-7:00 PM  The Town Council ofBermuda Run held its scheduled meeting on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 7:00 PM. Council Members Present: Mayor Kenneth A. Rethmeier, DrPH; Ken Bateman; Shirley Cagle;  The meeting was held at] Bermuda Run Town Hall.  Ed Coley; John Guglielmi and Jerry West  Council Members Absent: None  Also Present: Call to Order Pledge of Allegiance Moment of Silence Adoption of the Agenda  Lee Rollins, Town Manager; Brian Williams, Town Attorney;  Janet Smith, Planning Board Chair Mayor Rethmeier called the meeting to order.  Council Member. John Guglielmi made a motion to adopt the agenda as presented. Council Member Jerry West. seconded. the motion. The motion was approved by a vote offive (5) inj favor and none  opposed.  Approval of the March 8, 2016 Meeting Minutes  Council Ed Coley made a motion to approve the March 8, 2016n meeting minutes as amended. Council Member Ken Bateman seconded the motion. The motion was approved by a vote offive (5) inj favor and  none opposed. Citizens Comments Council.  Mr. Robin Cooper, with the North Carolina Association of Realtors, introduced himselft to the Town  2015-20167 Town Audit Contract  Eddie Carrick, CPA, has submitted a contract proposal to conduct the Town audit for $5,500, a program compliance audit for $2,000, and the preparation of annual financial statements for $1,000. Council Member John Guglielmi made a motion to approve the audit contract as proposed. Council Member Shirley Cagle seconded the motion. The motion was approved by a vote offive (5) inj favor and  The quote is unchanged from the previous year.  none opposed.    2015-2016 Tourism Development Authority Audit Contract $250. The quote is unchanged from the previous year.  Eddie Carrick, CPA, has submitted a contract proposal to conduct and audit for the Bermuda Run Tourism Development Authority for $1,250 and the preparation of annual financial statements for Council. Member Jerry West made ai motion to approve the audit contract as proposed. Council Member. John Guglielmi seconded the motion. Resolution Accepting Kinderton Village Streets into the Town Street System  Town Attorney Brian Williams presented Resolution 2016-03 Accepting Streets into the Public Street System of the Town ofl Bermuda Run. The resolution further codifies the actions oft the Town as ai result oft the voluntary annexation of] Kinderton Village, to maintain the streets as listed within Council. Member. Ken. Bateman made a motion to approve Resolution 2016-03 as presented. Council Member Shirley Cagle seconded the motion. The motion was approved by a vote offive (5) inj favor and  Exhibit A of the resolution.  none opposed. Council/Mayor Comments Jerry West: John Guglielmi: No comments. Ed Coley:  Expressed his frustration with the County's handling oft the sales tax issue.  No comments.  Ken Bateman: Thanked Brian Williams for his work in preparing the resolution to codify Shirley Cagle: Expressed her frustration with the most recent County Commissioners meeting. Mayor Rethmeier: Expressed his frustration with the decision ofthe County Commissioners to change  Town acceptance oft the streets in Kinderton Village.  Expressed her desire to support the Towns of Cooleemee and Mocksville with this the method of distribution of sales tax to the detriment oft the three municipalities, and the subsequent harm the decision has to the ongoing relations between the  issue.
