Callt to Order  Mayor Ken Rethmeier called the meeting to order.  2. Adoption of the Agenda  Council Member. Rick Cross made tbe motion to adopt the agenda, and Council Member Mike. Emst. seconded the motion. The  motion was qpproved by a vote offve 5)inj favor and none opposed. 3. Apptoval of the October 24, 2017 Meeting Minutes  Council. Memberl Mike. Ermst made ai motion to approve the mimutes from tbe October 24 2017. Agenda Meeting. Councill Member  Jery West seconded the motion. The motion was qpproved by a vote offve (5) inj favor and none qpposed.  4. Citizen Comments- None 5.1 Items for Consideration  A. TA: 2017-03 Self-Storage Warehousing in Existing Buildings  The Planning Board unanimously approved the applicant (Wayne and George Webb's) request with changes to the existing building that was formerly used as a consignment store. Town Manager, Lee Rollins expressed to the Council that this would allow use oft the building instead ofit being vacant, causing continued maintenance. Itis recommended that the' Town Council set aj public hearing at their December 12, 2017 Town Council MemberJery West made ai motion to bold a Public. Hearing at the December 12, 2017 Councill Meeting and Council Member Rick Cross. seconded the motion. The motion was qpproved by a vote offve (5) inj favor and none opposed.  Council Meeting.  B. Second. Approval of Ordinance 2017-01 to. Allow Sale of Alcoholic Beverages before Noon on The Town Council passed Ordinance 2017-01 with a total oft three (3) Council Members present. The Town Attorney has asked the Council to vote again on the ordinance, because it must be approved by a vote of at least Council Member Mike. Emst made ai motion to approve the ordinance as written. Council Member Rick Cross. seconded the  Sundays at Licensed Premises  two-thirds oft the actual membership of the council, excluding vacant seats. motion. The motion was qpproved by ai vote offive (5) inj favor and none opposed. C. Proposed 2018 Council Meetings Schedule Agenda Meetings the fourth Tuesday of each month at 9:00 am.  The proposed schedule keeps Town Council: meetings on the second Tuesday of each month at' 7:00 pm and    Coumcil Member Rick Cross made ai motion to add qpproval oft tbe 2018. schedule as an action item at the December 12, 2017 Tomm Councill Meeting Council Member Jery West. seconded the motion. Other Business  Itwas requested by Council Member Mike Ernst that the Council receive reporting regarding the activities ofthe Community Officer. Town Manager Lee Rollins will talk with SheriffJ.D. Hartman about the Sheriffs Department's existing reporting system. The Council was asked to email Leel Rollins with what information that Mayor Ken Rethmeier expressed his disappointment that the speed limit on. Hwy. 801 was not changed to 35 MPH as it was recently changed on Hwy. 158. Hel has been in discussion with Pat Ivey with thel NCDOT  they would think important to bes shown in the report. regarding their reason for not making the change. 7. Council/Mayor Comments  John Guglielmi - No Comment and the later delivery ofi mail.  Jerry West - Shared concern regarding traffic flow on Hwy 158 near. BB&T. Also said that the activity at the Bermuda Run package roomi is becoming a mess. Changes have happened since the change in staff,  Ed Coley - Reported that the flashing speed limit signs are: not working properly. Mike. Ernst- - Questioned the status oflights at the roundabout. (in que).  Rick Cross - Asked about the January Planning session that will be during the January, 2018. Agenda Meeting. Also, requested that the Town consider adding email addresses for Mayor and Council, along Mayor Rethmeier- - Discussed the new Town of Bermuda Run sign at) James Way and Lybrook, and  with business cards for Council Members. plans for additional signs. 9.Town Manager Comments  Town Manager Lee Rollins shared an updated cost estimate for an additional ingress/egtess into Kinderton Commercial connecting Hwy. 158 with E.. Kinderton Way. Pros and cons were discussed regarding partnering  with the developer for the Town to pay half oft the cost.  10. Adjourn  Witb no further business, Council. Member.
