Town of Bermuda Run Town Council Meeting Minutes November 14, 2017 - 7:00 PM  The Town Council of] Bermuda Run held its scheduled meeting on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Council Members Present: Mayor Kenneth A. Rethmeier, DrPH; Ed Coley; Rick Cross  7:001 PM. The meeting was held at Bermuda Run Town Hall.  Mike Ernst; John Guglielmi; and Jerry West  Council Members Absent: None  Also Present: Call to Order Pledge of Allegiance Moment of Silence Adoption of the Agenda  Lee Rollins, Town Manager and Brian Williams, Town Attorney  Erin Burris, Zoning Administrator Mayor Rethmeier called the meeting to order.  Council Member Rick Cross made a motion to approve the October 10, 2017n meeting agenda as presented. Council Member Mike Ernst seconded the motion. The motion was approved by a vote of  five (5) inj favor and none opposed.  Approval of the October 10,2017 Meeting Minutes approved by a vote offive (5) inj favor and none opposed.  Council. Member. The motion was  Citizens Comments None Proposed Meeting Action Items  A. Public Hearing - Update to the' Town Comprehensive Plan  Public Notice was duly provided regarding the draft update to the Comprehensive Plan. The Town Council appointed the Planning Board to serve as the steering committee to prepare the Mayor Rethmeier opened the Public Hearing. There was no one that wished to speak. The Mayor asked ift there were any questions from the Town Council. There were: none. Council Member. Jerry West made ai motion to approve the Resolution of4 Adoption of the Town of Bermuda. Run Comprehensive Plan Update. Council. Member Rick Cross seconded the motion. The motion was approved by a vote offive (5). inj favor and none opposed. B. Appointment of] Bryan C. Thompson as a Planning Board Member Alternate The Planning Board Alternate member position, previously held by Rick Cross, has not been filled. Mr. Thompson of218 James Way has agreed to serve if appointed. Council Member. John Guglielmi made ai motion to appoint Bryan Thompson as an. Alternate member to the Planning Board,, filling the unexpired term ofRick Cross. The term expires June 30, 2019. Council Member. Jerry West seconded the motion. Commented that the Piedmont Summit sponsored by the Piedmont Triad Regional Council was very Struggled as to whether or not to run for a fourth term, but ultimately decided not Thanked Christy Schafer and the Planning Board for their work on the Comprehensive Plan Update. Stated that skunks are still an issue in the Town. Was pleased to attend the Piedmont Summit. It reaffirmed how citizens, businesses and government can work together to achieve things. Congratulated Sheriff Hartman on his selection of Jason Robertson as the Town Community Welcomed Jason Robertson as the new Community Officer and has already received positive feedback from residents. Thanked Christy Schafer, the Planning Board Members and Erin Burris for the completion of the Comprehensive Plan Update.
