Town of Bermuda Run Town Council Meeting Minutes October 9, 2018- 6:00 PM  The Town Council of Bermuda Run held its scheduled meeting on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at 6:00 Council Members Present: Mayor Kenneth. A. Rethmeier, DrPH; John Guglielmi, Rick Cross,  PM. The meeting was held at Bermuda Run Town Hall.  Mike Ernst, and Jerry West  Council Members Absent: Chris Fowler  Also Present: Call to Order Pledge of Allegiance Moment of Silence  Lee Rollins, Town Manager; Cindy Griffith, Town Clerk; Brian Mayor Kenneth Rethmeier called the meeting to order.  Williams, Town Attorney  It is the intent ofthe Town Council to solemnize the proceedings ofthis meeting and the business brought before the governing board, to offer the opportumiyforam reflective moment ofsilence.  Adoption of the Agenda  Council Member. John Guglielmi made ai motion to approve the agenda as presented. Council. Member Jerry West. seconded the motion. The motion was approved by a vote offour (4) inj favor and none  opposed.  Approval oft the September 11,2018 Meeting Minutes  Council Member Mike Ernst made a motion. to approve the September 11, 2018 Town Council. Meeting Minutes. Council Member Rick Cross seconded. the motion. The motion was approved. by a vote offour  (4)infavor and none opposed. Citizens' Comments  Sandra Catlett of148 Spyglass Drive spoke to the Council regarding her desire not tol have the second entrance to Spyglass closed. She shared that information previously provided to Council by the HOA April Crowson, Lexington resident, who is a candidate for District Court Judge spoke with the Council  representative regarding the wishes of the residents of Spyglass were incorrect.  requesting support.  Mayoral Proclamations  United Way of Davie County Month - October, 2018 Family Promise of Davie County Week - October 21-27,2018    Council & Mayor Comments  Rick Cross - Shared information regarding the Davie County Senior Services' Aging Plan. Citizen Mike Ernst - Supportive of proclamations. Encouraged everyone to support the United Way as there is  Input Meeting at Town Hall on Wednesday, Oct. 17. al lot ofneed in the county. He also urged everyone to vote. Jerry West - Also shared support of proclamations.  John Guglielmi - No comment.  Mayor Rethmeier - Praised the Davie Arts Council for the good job on this year's concert series and RiverWalk Arts Festival. Sarah Odio with DFI has done an outstanding, job on the hotel project for the Town. He also shared support for the Davie Senior Services Aging Plan, explaining that seniors most oft the time do not know where to turn or who to ask ift they have problems. He also urged everyone to  vote and support the sales tax increase (avoiding property tax increases).  Town Manager Comments  Lee Rollins shared that the Town Hall will be a One-Stop Early Voting location again beginning October 17. RFP's for the hotel project have gone out and the information is shared on the Town's  website.  Adjourn  With noj further business to discuss, Council Member Mike Ernst made ai motion to adjourn.
