Town of Bermuda Run Town Council Meeting Minutes January 9, 2018- 7:00 PM  The Town Council of Bermuda Run held its scheduled meeting on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at' 7:00 Council Members Present: Mayor Kenneth A. Rethmeier, DrPH; Rick Cross; Mike Ernst  PM. The meeting was held at Bermuda Run Town Hall.  John Guglielmi; and Jerry West  Council Members Absent: Chris Fowler  Also Present: Call to Order Moment of Silence Adoption of the Agenda  Lee Rollins, Town Manager  Mayor Rethmeier called the meeting to order.  Council Member Jerry West made a motion to approve the agenda as presented. Council Member Rick Cross seconded the motion. The motion was approved by a vote offour (4) inj favor and none opposed. Appointment to the Transportation Advisory Committee  The Winston-Salem Metropolitan Planning Organization's? Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC) seeks confirmation of eachj jurisdiction's" TAC representatives for 2018. Mayor Rethmeier opened the floor for nominations for the representative and alternate Council Member Rick Cross made a motion to re-appoint Mayor Ken Rethmeier as a representattve to the TAC, and to appoint Council MemberJerry West as the alternate member tot the TAC. Council Member John Guglielmi seconded the motion. The motion was approved by  positions.  avote offour (4) inj favor and none opposed.  B. Appointment to the Piedmont Triad Regional Council (PTRC)  The PTRC: is a voluntary association of local governments, urban and rural. It acts as a division oflocal government and is governed by a Board ofDelegates and an Executive Committee. Mayor Rethmeier is the current delegate to the PTRC Board. His schedule does not allow him to serve. Mayor Rethmeier opened the floor for nominations for the Town delegate position to the Council Member Mike Ernst made a motion to appoint Rick Cross as the Town of Bermuda Run delegate to the Piedmont Triad. Regional Council Board of Delegates. Council Member. Jerry West seconded the motion. The motion was approved by a vote offour (4) inj favor and none  PTRC.  opposed.    Council/Mayor Comments: Jerry West- John Guglielmi - Mike Ernst- Rick Cross-  None.  Glad to see the streetlights going up at the US 1581 Roundabout. Continue to hear positive comments about the Community Officer. Congratulated Maddie Cakes for their new store opening in Bermuda Run. also heard positive comments about the lowering oft the speed limit on US 158 to 35 mph.
