Zoning MapAmendment. 2019-3  Bob Hodges (present for today's meeting) has applied to rezone a 2.55-acre tract ofl land from Residential Mixed (RM) to Commercial Mixed (CM). The subject property is located north of169 Yadkin Valley Road. The applicant owns the adjoining property to the south. The Planning Board unanimously recommended approval oft the proposed rezoning at their) July 17,2019 meeting. After aj public hearing on the issue, the Town Council voted three (3) in favor and two (2) opposed to Councill Member Jery West made ai motion to put the request on the. September Council. Meeting agenda for consideration. Council Member. Rick Cross. seconded the motion. The motion was approved by a vote offve(5)in  defer a decision on the rezoning request.  favor and none opposed.  B. Bermuda Run West Common Area Maintenance Contract  Bermuda Run West HOA is going under contract with Chamberlain Landscaping for annual lawn maintenance beginning) January 1, 2020. Landscape islands with postal kiosks within Bermuda Run West are maintained by the' Town. As is consistent with other subdivisions, the' Town will contract Council Member. Rick Cross made ai motion to add to the. September Council Meeting agenda forai vote. Council Member) Mike. Erst. seconded tbe motion. The motion was approved by a vote offive (5) inj favor and none opposed.  with the HOA firm of choice for the areas the Town is responsible to maintain.    C. Council/Mayor Comments  Jery West-Feels that Mayor Rethmeier excelled as ai facilitator during his two terms serving in Bermuda He also got clarity that there have been no updates regarding the sports complex, and: recommended that Rick Cross- Got clarification regarding the tax credit apartment projects not being funded for 2019. Developers can try again in 2020 for funding as only 40-50 projects are àpproved throughout NC each year. Mike Emst- - Agreed about the great leadership provided by Mayor Rethmeier. Feels that both Lee Rollins and Cindy Griffith are tremendous assets to the Town. Feels that ordinances should be expanded tol help Chris Fowler-I Hel has enjoyed working with Ken Rethmeier, and looks forward to what's ahead with both John Guglielmi, then Rick Cross (who is running for Mayor unopposed in the November election). Brian Wiliams/Attomy- - Congratulated both John Guglielmi and Rick Cross saying that the Town Board for Bermuda Run is exemplary. Encouraged them to educate the newly elected people and to continue to let Town Manager, Lee Rollins lead - adding that he's the best Town Manager in NC. John Guglielmi - Thanked everyone for their confidence in him to complete the term ofl Mayor.  Run. He wants to be sure that newly appointed Councill Members are welcomed. the Package Room/Post Office open up earlier in the season on Saturdays.  with the look and feel of areas within BR East that are: not part of] HOAS.  8.
