Agenda  Council Member Rick Cross made ai motion to adopt tbe agenda witb Council Member Mike Emst seconding the motion.  The motion was qpproved by a vote offour (4) inj favor and none opposed. 3. Approval oft the. April 23, 2019 Agenda Meeting Minutes  Council Member Jeny West made ai motion to approve tbe April 23, 2019 Agenda Meeting mimutes. Council. ZMA2019-02 Shugart Enterprises LLC: Rezoning Request  The applicant, Shugart Enterprises LLC, requests a rezoning from OS Open Space to RM Residential Mixed: in order to develop a subdivision for single family homes. The Planning Board heard the request at their May 15, 2019: meeting and voted unanimously to recommend approval. The property is located off ofE Hwy. 801 neat Hal Walker Road and N. Claybon Drive and is in the Town's ETJ. The rezoning would allow for flexibility in lot sizes for a subdivision of up to 1501 lots. The Town Council is requested to vote to bold aj public bearing for this zoning map amendment. at the regular) June Council Member Jery West made ai motion to hold a Public Hearing regarding tbe rezoning request at the June 11 Town Council Meeting. Upcoming Planning Board Member Appointments  Two regular members, one alternate member and an ETJ member terms expire June 30, 2019. Council Member Jery West made ai motion to reappoint all members with. the exception of BleekerStrand, whose 3- year term expires. Her son David. Strand vould replace ber seat on the Planning Board. Council Member Mike Emst seconded the motion. The motion was qpproved by a vote gffour (4) inj favor and none opposed.    Information Items  A. Ignite Davie Promise - A College Promise for Davie County  Ignite Davie Promise is a community initiative to raise the educational attainment ofl Davie County residents and strengthen thel local workforce by providing college access through tuition assistance for all. Council Member Mike Ernst is on the board for "Crosby Scholars" that seives surrounding counties, but not currently Davie County. He is going to. reach out to Jeff Wallace with the Davie  County School system and report back to Council. B. NCDOT Division 9: Paving Needs Survey for 2020  Main areas needed patchwork are at the 158 median and Peachtree. Lane.  7. Council Comments  Rick Cross- - Asked about tpdate regarding the. Sports Complex- they bave a building permit and that is all we know at this point. The Davie Counly. Public. Imput. Session at the Bermuda. Ran Town Hall last week went wel, and there wasa good rpresentation from businesses and residents. He ould like Kim. Sbuskey with Davie. Jery West- Added that tbere has been conversation: regarding the Davie Medical Center giving a piece of land foral Rescue Squad/EMS building. In regponse to discussion regarding speeding on Town.
