Town of Bermuda Run Town Council Meeting Minutes March 12, 2019 - 6:00 PM  The Town Council ofBermuda Run held its scheduled meeting on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Council Members Present: Mayor Kenneth. A. Rethmeier, DrPH; Rick Cross, Mike Ernst, John  6:00 PM. The meeting was. held at Bermuda Run Town Hall.  Guglielmi, Jerry West, and Chris Fowler  Council Members Absent: None  Also Present: Call to Order Pledge of Allegiance Moment of Silence  Lee Rollins, Town Manager; Brian Williams, Attorney; Cindy Griffith,  Town Clerk  Mayor Kenneth Rethmeier called the meeting to order.  Iti is the intent oft the Town Council to solemnize the proceedings ofthis meeting and the business brought before the governing board, to offer the opportumiyforare reflective moment ofsilence.  Adoption of the Agenda  Council Member Mike Ernst made a motion to approve the agenda as presented. Council Member Rick Cross seconded the motion. Citizens' Comments None Action Items:  Resolution in Support of Current ABC Control System  The Triad ABC Board, of which the Town of Bermuda Run is a member, adopted a Resolution on February 22, 2019 that supports the current. ABC control system for the State ofNorth Carolina. There are conversations within the General Assembly to privatize outlets for the sale of spiritous liquors. Council Member Jerry West made ai motion to create a resolution in support ofthe current. ABC Control System. The motion was. seconded. by Mike Ernst and was approved by a vote offive (5) in  favor and none opposed.  Capital Project Ordinance - Blue Heron Trail Project to the construction of the Blue Heron Trail.  Ordinance adopted by the Town Council willj provide authority to receive and expend funds dedicated Council. Member. John Guglielmi made ai motion to adopt the ordinance. Council. Member. Rick Cross seconded the motion with the motion approved by a vote offive (5) inj favor and none opposed,    Appointment ofTom Shapard to the' TDA Board  Tom Shapard is the recently appointed Director of Sales and Marketing at the Hampton Inn, Bermuda Run. Tom will fill the TDA Board seat vacated by the former Director of Sales. Council Member. Rick Cross made a motion to appoint Tom Shapard to the TDA Board with Council Member Jerry West seconding the motion. The motion was unanimouslya approved. Jerry West - Asked about the recent news out of Clemmons regarding their "no" vote on the Industrial  Park and how it will impact the Town of Bermuda Run.  Rick Cross- - The "Aging in Davie County" project is coming along nicely. There will be a presentation at the May Davie County Commissioners' Meeting and he suggested presenting to Council as well. He also shared that there will be a symposium on Friday, March 15 on the changing trends Mayor Rethmeier. - Thanked Town Clerk, Cindy Griffith for the work done on the website, and the mirrored Constant Contact email with the new look and feel. Discussed upcoming sewer project and the impact it will have on Bermuda Run West. Shared that options for post-op care: for the elderly is a  affecting today's youth. The symposium isi in Mocksville.
