Town of Bermuda Run Town Council Meeting Minutes November 10, 2020 - 6:00 PM The Town Council of Bermuda Run held its scheduled meeting on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Council Members Present: Mayor Rick Cross, Heather Coleman, Curtis Capps, Mike Ernst, Chris 6:001 PM. The meeting was held at the Bermuda Run Town Hall. Public Comments Mr. Jim Fulghum of357 Town Park Drive in Kinderton Village spoke regarding stormwater issues. Proposed Action Items: A. Proposal to Provide Stormwater Mapping & Analysis Grey Engineering, in association with Jewell, LJB, proposes to model stormwater conditions in the Phase I project area, which consists of the original section of] Bermuda Run Country Club that is served by a wastewater treatment plant specific to that area. The proposed feei is on a time and expense basis for a total not to exceed $55,000. Town Manager, Lee Rollins, asked the Town Council to consider the stormwater mapping and analysis and the budget amendment of Council Member Mike Ernst made ai motion to approve the proposal from Gry Engineering as presented, with aprice not to exceed, $55,000. Analysis for the area specifically defined within the Town of] Bermuda Run sewer service area, the Town Manager proposes a budget amendment to allocate $55,000 from the fund balance oft the Sewer Fund to the current 2020-2021 Sewer Council. Mr. Rollins stated that NCDOT required the design to, prevent left turns from WinMock, Street east toward the roundabout due to. site distance safety issues and toj prevent stacking of vehicle within the roundabout. Duke Energy to reassess options for improved electric. service to. mitigate multiple outages over the past few years to Bermuda Run residents that receive service from power lines along the Yadkin River Flood plain. Took a tour oft the new. RISE indoor sports facility last week and was very impressed with the Commended Bermuda. Run residents Rosanne Peacock, Sharon Reid and Christy Schafer for taking the initiative to brighten what otherwise has been a bit ofa dim year, by working with Davie Medical Center to provide a Community Christmas Tree. The Town of Bermuda Run was pleased to participate inj purchasing the tree to be installed on the roofofDavie. Medical Center. There will be a virtual tree lighting on. December 19! There will be an opportumityfor citizens to donate money, for each tree. light, with proceeds to go toward the Hospital Family Recognized Council Member Mike Ernst and all those who have served and currently served in the military and asked those in attendance to be thoughtful ofthose for Veterans Day.
