Proposal - Feasibility Study of] Potential Phase II ofthe Blue Heron Trail McAdams has provided aj proposal for a feasibility study to examine and quantify the financial costs, liabilities, and design and environmental. implications of creating design and alternatives for a possible Phase II of the Blue Heron Trail loop north ofI-40 around the Bahnson Lakes area. The cost oft the proposed feasibility study is $29,750. No budget amendment is necessary, and the study should be Council Member Mike. Erst made ai motion to approve tbe proposed feasibility study. Ernst- - Shared that the conceptual plan photo ofl Blue Heron Trail looks very nice; but he is concerned with the liabilities, and ongoing maintenance costs oft the project. He thinks the. Leyland removal project went well, and that the fence looks better than he thought it would. Happy that DOT project on I-40is coming to a closure, but wishes NC: DOT would get their equipment and supplies away faster. Ken Peacock - Encouraging meeting; likes how projects are tied back to the Comprehensive Plan. Chris Fowler-Loves that the Town is moving forward with the Blue Heron Trail and supports feasibility Curtis Capps- Concerned about safety and how close trails will be to the ponds - ablity/maintenance.
