Town of Bermuda Run Town Council Meeting Minutes May 11, 2021 - 6:00 PM  The Town Council of Bermuda Run held its scheduled meeting on Tuesday, May 11,2021 at  6:00 PM. The meeting was held at the Bermuda Run Town Hall.  Council Members Present: Mayor Rick Cross, Heather Coleman, Curtis Capps, Mike Ernst, Chris  Fowler, and Ken Peacock  Council Members Absent: Also Present: Call to Order Pledge ofAllegiance Moment of Silence  Lee Rollins, Town Manager; Cindy Poe, Town Clerk; Brian Williams,  Attorney  Mayor Rick Cross called the meeting to order.  Iti is the intent ofthe Town Council to. solemnize the proceedings oft this meeting and the business brought before the governing board, to offer the opportunityfor ai reflective moment ofsilence.  Adoption of the Agenda  Council Member. Mike Ernst made a motion to approve the agenda. Council Member Heather Coleman seconded the motion. The motion was approved by a vote offive (5) inf favor and none opposed. Council, Member Curtis Capps made ai motion to approve the April 13, 2021 meeting minutes. Council Member Chris. Public Comments -I None  Public Hearing. -Town Manager's Proposed 2021-2022 Budget  Town Manager Lee Rollins presented his proposed 2021-2022 balanced budgets for the following funds:  General Fund: $1,800,000.00 Gate Operations Fund: $566,017.00 Utilities (Sewer) Fund: $530,850.00 Mayor Rick Cross opened the Public Hearing  Mike Brannon of1179 Riverbend Drive stated that he fully supported the proposed budget, but stated his desire to see the Council Meetings live streamed to allow more: residents to be involved. He feels that the Council should be seen and heard by their constituents and embrace technology and change.  Mayor Rick Cross closed the Public Hearing.  Council Member Curtis Capps made a motion to adopt the proposed budget ordinance as, presented. Council Member Heather Coleman seconded the motion. Mike Brannonj for his input.  Mike Ernst - Stated that the budget was well done, thanking Lee. Rollins for his hard work. Shared that residents are confused about recycling since Davie County no longer provides that. service forf free. Curtis Capps - Appreciates Mike Brannon' 's suggestion, saying the Council would look into options. Ken. Peacock- - Felt Lee Rollins did a very thoroughj job on the budget. Informed the Council that the Town will be receiving funds from the. state ofNC as ai result of the American Rescue Plan.
