Town of Bermuda Run Town Council Meeting Minutes March 9, 2021 - 6:00 PM  The Town Council of Bermuda Run held its scheduled meeting on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Council Members Present: Mayor Rick Cross, Heather Coleman, Curtis Capps, Mike Ernst, Chris  6:001 PM. The meeting was held at the Bermuda Run Town Hall.  Fowler, and Ken Peacock  Council Members Absent: Also Present: Call to Order Pledge of Allegiance Moment of Silence  Lee Rollins, Town Manager; Cindy Poe, Town Clerk; Brian Williams,  Attorney  Mayor Rick Cross called the meeting to order.  It is the intent oft the Town Council to solemnize the proceedings ofthis meeting and the business brought before the governing board, to offer the opportunityfor a reflective moment ofsilence. Council Member Heather Coleman made ai motion to approve the agenda. Council Member. Ken Peacock. seconded the motion. Public Comments -I None  Public Hearing. - Zoning TextAmendment 2020-03  Amy Flyte, Senior Planner for Davie County presented the proposed administrative text amendments that  are intended to comply with the North Carolina Session Law 2019-111.  Mayor Rick Cross opened the Public Hearing. No citizens signed up to speak. Mayor Rick Cross closed the Public Hearing.  Council. Member Mike Ernst made thej following motion: Approval: The Boardj finds that the amendment is consistent with the town of Bermuda Run Comprehensive Plan and considers the action to be reasonable and in the public interest as it brings the Town' 's Zoning Ordinances with newly adopted general. statute. Peacock- - Shared that he' 's looking.forward to exciting events to come for the Town. Mike Ernst - Impressed with. Davie County 's administration of the Covid vaccines.  Curtis Capps - Thanked. Amy Flyte and everyone in attendance.  Chris Fowler - No comment.  Heather Coleman - Excited that Duke Energy has a contractor coming this week to trim trees along the river in order to. help withj future possible power outages. Appreciates everyone. for coming out to the Lee Rollins Reinforced. Heather' 's comment as he' 's been working with. Duke Energy to help with areas that have been hit most recently with power outages due to weather. Also, added that the Lelands along Ivy Circle/Hwy. 158 would be trimmed: soon as well. Proposed budget should be available for Council's review at the April meeting (for adoption by. June 30, 2021). There is a new boutique coming to the Lowe 's Foods Shopping Center - South & Main.  meeting.  Mayor Rick Cross-  Discussed the new. Farmington Road location for the Health Dept/Davie Sherif's Office. Covid-19 Update - Positive feedback regarding Davie County's Vaccination process. Paul Moore with the Davie County. Parks & Recreation Dept. will be at the April 13. Meeting.  March 81 was International Women' 's. Day". Reminder to "Spring Forward" this weekend.  Commended.
