Presentation - Blue Heron Trail Phase II-I Preliminary Designs and Cost Estimates Andrew Hickling, Greenway Project Engineer; and Nick Lowe, Senior Landscape Architect, Planning & Design, with McAdams presented concerns, opportunities, and: recommendations for the project. The Council was asked to reflect on the cost VS. benefit, then discuss more ati the March Agenda Meeting. 7. Information Items A. Presentation by Scott Wollaston with NC Fusion request for DOT road paving improvements (Hwy. 158/801). B. NCDOT Division 91 Letter Evaluation state-maintained roads maintenance needs = regarding C. Letter from Davie County Community Foundation regarding the Community Vision Fund D. Community Officer Discussion (Concern by Council Member Mike Brannon regarding communications with residents to call Officer Williams' cell VS. calling the non-emergency number for the Sheriff's Dept. as well as other concerns. Town Manager Lee Rollins clarified that the Community Officer works for the Davie County Sheriff's Dept., not for the Town of] Bermuda Run. Mayor Cross stated that Sheriff: Hartman reports to the Council multiple times per year. The Council was instructed to provide a list of concerns to Lee Rollins by the end oft the week. 8. Discussion -1 US 158 /NC 801 Intersection Council Member Mike Brannon shared his research and findings regarding upcoming NC: DOT projects. Town Manager. Lee Rollins shared information regarding the Metropolitan Transportation Organization (MPO) and history, priorities. 9. TonAttorney. Brian Williams. shared a list ofToun Council responsibilities witb all Council Members. 10. Gate Attendant Pay Discussion Town Manager. Lee Rollins shared the impacts of raising the hourly rate paid to the gate attendants (via Allied Universal) from $10 to $12 per hour beginning in April, 2022 due to high turnover. This would requite a budget amendment from the Gate Operations Fund of$15,287.00 and resident gate Council Member Mike. Brannon made a motion to increase tbe bourly ratej from, 810 to, 812, and to approve the budget amendment proposed by tbe Town Manager: Council Member. Heatber Coleman seconded the motion.
