Citizen Comments - Vera Williamson of 229 Haywood Drive, Advance was introduced by Attorney Brad Friesen (who stated that she was a personal friend, and that she had reached out to him after the July 11 Council Meeting.) She apologized for her "accusatory and inflammatory" email that she had sent to the Town Council and Town Manager, stating that it fell short of her Christian values. She requested that the August 8 Public Hearing be postponed. She shared her concerns regarding 10/70 allocations and said that an audit of Davie County and the Town of Bermuda Run should bring clarification, asking for transparent decisions and information. Stated that there was "conflicting information on charts" that "mask lack of proper management". 6. Action Items A. Will work with Vision Committee Update - Christy Schaffer shared: information regarding projects - Flag project neat WinMock and the Blue Heron Trail (preliminary drawings, funding options, etc.); Food Truck Friday (Sept. 8); Christmas in Bermuda Run (photo shoot for Stroll Magazine in Nov); Marketing items such as Christmas ornaments, candles; Idea for possible car/concourse show. Pedestrian Ways Update - Council members Brannon and Szeliga and the' Town Manager met with Ferrell Nicholson on Thursday discussing pedestrian ways along Riverbend and Bermuda Run AIA Wastewater Study $400,000 grant (6-8 months to complete) Maps out the town's sewer system in order to transfer to. Davie County for maintenance and ownership. Blue Heron Trail - Pedestrian Bridge over I-40 /goal to spur from the current trail. Working with HUD/CFA Grant $3.6 million grant - Not heard back (Andrew Meadwell) - This will: mainly 158/801 Intersection Improvements - Fiber Optic/water line issues new stop light heads. DOT Future Land Use - Working sessions/4-5 months of discussions regarding Comprehensive Plan Council Member Mike Brannon gave an update regarding the TAC meeting at Salem Lake regarding upcoming projects in Davie County - road widening Hwy. 801 to Oak Valley, and Hwy. 158 to Angel Jackson regarding communication to: residents of Kinderton Village.
