Budget Amendment - BA to General Government going forward, making amendments as needed. Joe Haney, CPA shared with the Council the need for a more streamlined audit process. Adjustments to the budget due to. ARPA funds/extra revenue. The Council discussed implementing quarterly budget reviews Conmcil Member. Hall Walker 10/70 Request The applicant is petitioning the Town of Bermuda Run for the approval ofa a 10/70 provision for 57.4 acres of! project area for a mixed-use residential project. The applicant is proposing 23.10 acres of impervious area on the site. The total impervious area oft the site would be 40.42%. Ifapproved, this allocation would permit up to 70% of the impervious area on the site. A total of 38 acres of property have previously received a 10/70 allocation with in the Town of Bermuda Run Planning and Zoning jurisdiction. Therefore, at total of 218.41 acres may receive a 10/70 allocation. A Public hearing is required for the requested action. Bahnson Lakes Stream Restoration Projects - Update (No action 6/27/23) Mayor Cross reminded the Council that he signed the Pilot View agteement and that we are now waiting for the three other parties (RISE, NC Fusion, and the Hillsdale Group) to. review theit agreements. D. Funding for Davie Community Foundation - Ignite Davie The Davie Community Foundation has presented to the' Town an additional funding request of $25,000.00 for the Ignite Davie College Promise Program. Foundation.) E. Appointments of Neil Cornatzer (RISE), Brian Meeks (Bermuda Run Country Club), and Mark Meloy (Hampton Inn) to the Bermuda Run Tourism Development Authority. Hall Walker-Annexation Assessment- - Andrew Meadwell provided an update on the request for annexation and reviewed a report provided by Benchmark summarizing the cost/benefit analysis. B. Vision Committee Update - Heather Coleman shared that a ribbon cutting for the Blue Heron Traili is planned for) July 11 at the pedestrian bridge off of] Hwy. 158 and at the pedestrian tunnel in Kinderton Village prior to the Council Meeting that evening. Other projects such as more Food' Truck Fridays are being planned. C. Future. Land Use- - Mike Brannon shared that Jason Epley with Benchmark Planning is working with the Town Manager, Mayor, and Council Members Mike Brannon and Mike Ernst to strategize future D. ABC. Board. Appointments- 1 Andrew Meadwell explained the term for the Town's ABC Board representative is ending. He will reach out to a couple ofs suggested replacements and bring back a land use planning. recommendation for the Council at the meeting onJ July 11. E. Gate. Management. System Transition Update - Cindy Poe provided an update on the transition to the new gate system software. She continues to work closely with the vendor to promptly solve issues as they arise. She recognized the gate supervisor,. Jonathan Walsh for his professionalism and support. 8. Mayor Comments - Election Day voting location will remain at. Hillsdale Baptist Church (for Bermuda Run residents this year. The Davie County Board of Elections did not want to cause any added confusion with the new voter ID requirements. The mayor is working with the HOA's and community partners to secure locations for candidate forums. Saturday, July 1 at the Davie Community Park there will be Independence Day festivities, along with a celebration of Davie's All-America County Award during which the mayor will speak. Council Member Mike Brannon represented the Town at the ribbon cutting last week at Habitat-Davie & ReStore. 9. Adjourn Witb noj further business, Coumcil.
