Act (ARPA)into law. Governments across the country received: funds to help combat the negative effects oft the COVID-19 pandemic. Through ARPA, the Town of Bermuda Run received $863,351.38 to assist in response to thej pandemic and rebuild A local government: may expend Coronavirus State and] Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (CSLFRF) on al board range of general government services under the Revenue Replacement allowable use category. There are two ways toj proceed under this category: a unit may either elect toi taket the $101 million Standard. Allowance oriti may calculate actual revenue loss according to U.S. Treasury's formula outlined int thel Final Rule. The Standard Allowance allows a local government to expend up to $10 million ofi its CSLFRF funds in the Revenue Replacement category without having to demonstrate any actual lost revenue. US Treasury has stated that al local government must elect either the Standard Allowance or the Formula Approach for Revenue Replacement in the April 30, 2023, Project and Expenditure Report. This is a one-time election Following the adoption of a resolution which allowed for acceptance of ARPA funds, this ordinance identifies where thei funds will be spent. This project ordinance is one ofthes stages required for our reporting The Town of Bermuda Run is choosing to take the standard Revenue Replacement Allowance of $10 million, the maximum amount allowed by ARPA. The Town will use these funds to reimburse prior salary and benefits, pay for the Davie County Sheriff's Community Officer contract, and contract services employees which are allowable uses under ARPA. ERM Grant Project Ordinance for the Town of Bermuda Run American Rescue Plan Act of 2021: Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds BEI ITORDAINED by the town council oft the Town of Bermuda Run, North Carolina that, pursuant to Section 13.2 of Chapter 159 of the General Statutes of North Carolina, the following Section 1: This ordinance is to establish al budget for a project to be funded by the Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds of H.R. 1319 American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARP/CSLFRF). The Town of Bermuda Run (Town) has received the first and second tranche in the amount of $863,351.38 of CSLFRF funds. This is thet total allocation. These funds may be used for the following categories of expenditures, to the extent authorized by state law. 1. Support public health expenditures, by funding COVID-19 mitigation efforts, medical expenses, behavioral healthcare, and certain public health and safety staff; 2. Address negative economic impacts caused by the public health emergency, including economic harms to workers, households, small businesses, impacted industries, and the 3. Replace lost public sector revenue, using this funding to provide government services to the extent of the reduction in revenue experienced due tot the pandemic; 4.
