This agreement is pertaining to the disastrous flood events that have devastated the citizens and state; and covers all work necessary to design and construct projects. There are people and property that have the substantial need to be protected from the effects of flooding. With that, flood prevention includes, minimizing stream bank erosion, rechanneling and dredging streams, removal ofa accumulated debris, snags, sandbars, rocks and any other kinds of obstructions. With the technical expertise that the WVCA has, they can assist  counties and municipalities with these issues.  WHEREAS, this agreement shall cover all work necessary to design and construct projects contemplated under W.Va. Code $7-1-3U. For each project, there will be agreements developed WHEREAS, there will be cost sharing for said projects to jointly fund the work that has been negotiated for each project.
