Also present City Manager Matthew Pepper, City Attorney Chuck Ross with Powell and Edwards Attorneys at Law, Chiefof Police Greg Perry, Planning and Development Director Jason Thompson, Public Information Officer Brian Arrington, (Assistant City Manager Mercy Montgomery and City Clerk Melisa Arnold were absent.) CALLTO ORDER Mayor Bender called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. REVIEW REGULAR BUSINESS MEETINGS AND PUBLIC HEARING AGENDA Thel Public Hearing and! Regular Meeting Agenda was reviewed. Mayor Bender explained the two change orders from Gwinnett County are for the reallocation of 2017SPLOST funds that were originally allocated for the Highway 124 and Wisteria Drive improvements that Georgia DOT did not approve. She reported that after conversations with Gwinnett County DOT the agreement was to use the funds for design and construction drawings for the intersection improvement of Oak ITEMS Road at Mountain View Road. REVIEW CORRESPONDENCE CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT None Attorney Ross advised that they submitted their response to the Court three weeks ago on the liquor store licensing issue and they are still waiting for the Judge's response. DISCUSSION ITEMS Discussion about a Towne Greene Policy Bender] Mayor Bender advised this would be moved to the next work session. Discussion of Speeding and Traffic Concerns on Harbour Oaks Drive [Carter] Council Member Carter asked about having a community meeting with the residents of the subdivision and the Gwinnett County Department ofTransportation. Mayor Bender explained why Tanglewood Road was chosen for the first traffic-calming program the City is testing and said we would need to study where they would be most efficient ift they prove to be useful. He reviewed the revised Community Center plan that was generated from the discussion held at the May 6th meeting with Amy Bell from Goodwyn Mills Cawood (GMC).
