NFG indicated that they would again like to occupy a newly constructed pedestrian bridge if constructed atl Field: Street. The Township has applied for an AAPR Granti for a replacement pedestrian bridge, andl has also researched, with Erie County, other Grant opportunities including the Federal Transportation Set- Aside Program and PennDOT Multimodal Program. Cabaday said that in fact the Township did have a problem with mowing that week because we had injuries and people being trained; she also said when an emergency çomes up, those items will be addressed before a lawn needs mowed. Commissioner Golden reiterated the very things that Cabaday had said adding that the Code Enforcement Officer is only part time and he may have onlyl had time to cover a couple of streets at at time and he may have just started Mr. Turks street first. Based upon Urban initiated follow up contact with NFG on. June 7th, NFG has now requested that the Township consider keeping the existing bridge in place to support the existing gas line until such time that t new pedestrian bridge can be constructed at Field Street. NFG has requested this consideration in light of the fact that they would like to occupy any new bridge structure, which would not be available until 2022 at the earliest and gas service to the southern section of Lawrence Park must be available for the winter of 2021. NFG has offered to pay for enhanced security measures to keep pedestrian and/or other access off the existing bridge until such time that a news structure isi inp place.
