Golden called the 2022 Budget Work Session Meeting to order at 4:15 p.m. L.E Bliley presented the Board with all information concerning background information on the Township including the assets. Bliley said with a new Board it is good to know these types of things including what employee'ss strengths and backgrounds are as well as what J.S Spitznogle presented the Board with a chart concerning tax rates, percentages and The Board discussed department assignments due to the addition of 2 new Commissioners. Commissioner J. Moffett will be the point person over streets with Commissioner B. Rodemaker being his alternate, Commissioner Rodemaker is point person over Sewers and Sanitation with Commissioner Moffett being his alternate, Commissioner S. Trojak is point person on the Fire Department with Commissioner T. Benovic being the alternate and Commissioner S.7 Trojak will bet the alternate to Policea and Commission T. Benovic presented the Police Department budget and addressed the proposed additional SRO funded by the ISD. She reiterated that the police have a CBA in place. Benovic also presented the proposed 2023 Parks and Recreation budget. Commissioner J. Golden spoke to the Board concerning 2023 wages. Rodemaker, Commissioner S. Trojak, Commissioner J. Moffett, Twp. Secretary C. Cunningham, Twp. Accountant L. Bliley, Tax President. J. Golden called the 2022 Budget Work Session Meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. and waived the Pledge Commissioner J. Golden discussed reducing the postage in administration. The Ordinance regarding Zoning hearing board fees will be paid by the party asking for the hearing. Golden also noticed that some business update of the Ordinance concerning these items. The Board has also decided to turn the Zoning wage into an Commissioner B. Rodemaker said that there will be 2 small sewer projects replacing the bar and grate system at both Lake Cliff and Cunningham's and the continuing project of replacing the Sudan lift station. The Board agreed with Commissioner S. Trojak that there must be money put into the budget for the Fire Department for past, and present utility bills ast these have not been paid by the department for 2021 and 2022. Commissioner T. Benovic said that they will cut the clerical wages from the police department as that position will not be filled with the departure of the past clerk. Benovic also stated that the maintenance and repair line item will be lowered. Concerning Parks and Recreation Grants will be looked into for improving some of the Commissioner J. Moffett said that $25,000 can be moved over from the Streets budget to cover highway aid The Board agreed to make the budget that tax rates will need tol be raised as well as sewer rates for 2023.
