Resolution R-3-20 Tioga County, Pennsylvania Support ofU. S. Constitution Second. Amendment Pennsylvania State Constitution, Article 1, Section 21 and WHEREAS, the Constitution oft the United States is the Supreme Law of our Nation, and WHEREAS, the Second Amendment to the Constitution oft the United States of America states: "A well regulated militia being necessary to the security ofaf free state, the right oft the people tol keep and bear WHEREAS, the Pennsylvania Constitution, Article 1, Section 21 states: the right oft the citizens to bear WHEREAS, the criminal misuse of firearms is not a reason to infringe the rights of law abiding citizens WHEREAS, the Tioga County Board of Commissioners wishes to express its deep commitment to the WHEREAS, the Tioga County Board of Commissioners wishes to express opposition to any law that would unconstitutionally restrict the rights, under the Second Amendment oft the U.S. Constitution, ofthe WHEREAS, the Tioga County Board of Commissioners wishes to express it support of Second Amendment rights and to oppose, within the limits oft the Constitution of the United States and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, any efforts to unconstitutionally restrict such rights, and to use such legal means at its disposal toj protect the rights of the citizens to keep and bear arms.
