HANOVER TOWINSHIP, NORTHAMPTON COUNTY PROCLAMATIONI NO.2 2022-5 To recognize National Police Office Week 2022 and to honor the service and sacrifice of those law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty while protecting our communities and safeguarding our democracy. WHEREAS, there are approximately 650,000 law enforcement officers serving in communities across the United States, including the dedicated members of the Colonial Regional Police Department; and WHEREAS, nearly 60,000 assaults against law enforcement officers are reported each year, WHEREAS, since the first recorded death in 1791 through 2020, 22,611 law enforcement officers in the United States have made the ultimate sacrifice and been killed in the line of duty; and WHEREAS, the names of these dedicated public seryants are engraved on the walls of the WHEREAS, the service and sacrifice of all officers killed in the line of duty were honored during the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund's 34th Annual Candlelight Vigil, on resulting in approximately 16,000 injuries; and National Law. Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C.; and the evening of May 13, 2022;and on May 11h-16h.and WHEREAS, the Candlelight Vigil is part ofNational Police Week, which takes place this year WHERLAS, May 15th is designated as Peace Officers Memorial Day, in honor of all fallen THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors formally designates May 11th 17h, 2022, as Police Week in Hanover Township, and publicly salutes the service of law officers and their families andU.S. flags should be flown at half-staff. enforcement officers in our community and in communities across the nation. Advent] Moravian Church. Adam and his team repurposed two, twenty foot picnictables with six, five5-foot picnic tables; replaced the six supporting posts holding up the roof (after discovering that thej posts had been severely damaged by carpenter ants); and replaced the dirt and stone floor with a twenty by twenty foot Award as a member of the Boy Scouts of America; and concrete slab; and WHEREAS, Adam has exemplified the virtues of scouting and has exhibited leadership skills in NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT AND IT IS HEREBY PROCLAIMED, by the Board of Supervisors of Township of Hanover, County of Northampton, and the Commonwealth of his troop serving as aPatrol Leader, Troop Guideand Assistant Senior Patrol.
