C Code Enforcement (Mike Garlowich): - Officer Garlowich reports several Certified Mails Streets/Public Works (Chuck Leighty) - Chuck reports "Good Job" by public works for keeping public lots well maintained. Solicitor Mark Rowan provided Secretary with copies of the Closing 2. Update on 312/320 Graff Street. Need copy of Closing document for archives. Documents. 3. Exterminator needed for Borough Building. Mindy Dugger motions to hire an exterminator to inspect and treat (if necessary) the Borough Building, cost not to exceed $400. 4. New Police Officer Candidate. - Mayor Dugger introduces candidate's credentials. Jason Frazier motions to hire. John Kauer from Norvelt as a Part-Time Police Officers at the same rates of pay (18/19/25) as existing staff. Seconded by Mindy Dugger. Motion carried. 5. Paying for Verizon Phones not being used. Jason Frazier motions to cancel the two Verizon Mobile phones currently titled to Everson Borough but not being used by PD or OneCall personnel. Furthermore, the motion stipulates that $50 per month be paid to Officer Garlowich and PA OneCall Representative Andy Zelinsky commencing in. July 2024. Seconded by Mindy Dugger. Motion carried. 6. Amend Dye Test Ordinance. Mindy Dugger motions to amend the Dye Test ordinance now that MAWC is conducting all Dye Tests. Seconded by. Jason Frazier. Motion Carried. Secretary advises that the Amendment to Dye Test Ordinance was passed in August 2023 via Ordinance 211 and no further action is required. 7. New Zero-Turn mower. needed. Jason Frazier explained why public works needs a new zero-turn mower: to maintain all the public areas in the Borough. Mindy Dugger motions to purchase a commercial grade Toro zero-turn mower with light-package at a cost of $11,200. Motion seconded by Hope Hope Peterson motions to purchase a new Toro 21" Recycler push mower with drive assist for a price of $399. Seconded by Mindy Dugger. Motion Peterson. Motion carried. 8. New Push-Mower needed. carried. 9. Maintain existing Zero-Turn Mower. Mindy Dugger motions to keep existing Zero-Turn mower, and to maintain it along with new mowers. Motion seconded by.
