Absent from the meeting was District Attorney Jason Walsh. Also] present were: County Solicitor Jana Grimm via telephone; Chiefo of Staff Mikel Namie; Warden Jeffrey Fewell; First Assistant District Attorney Leslie Ridge; Finance Director Josh Hatfield; Human Resources Director Shelli Arnold; Court Administrator Patrick Grimm; Human Services Director Kim Rogers; Chief Clerk Cindy Griffin; Captain-Trainer Jack Buckholt; Secretary Paula Jansante; Chaplain! He then introduced to thel Prison Board, guests visiting fort the Pennsylvania Prison Warden's Association conference, Butler County Warden Joe Demore and Centre County Warden Christopher Schell. Warden Fewelli introduced tot thel Prison Board, Cadets Jarred John, Stephanie Madrid, Angel Maldonado: and Shawn Myers. He further stated thati in accordance with' Title: 37, Chapter 95 ofThe Pennsylvania Code, the Cadets are certified as Correctional Officers in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. President Judge DiSalle administered the oath of office tot the Cadets and thel Prison Board congratulated and welcomed them as new Washington County Correctional Officers. Warden Fewell respectfully requested thel Prison Board approve handgun weapons training and qualifying for correctional officers assigned to hospital duty when the County Sheriffi is not Mrs. Vaughan clarified that the Warden's Report includes approving the hiring of thef four It was moved by Mr. Sherman and seconded by Mr. Maggi to accept the Warden's Report. (See the list ofb bills attached heretoand made a part hereot OLD] BUSINESS Ms. Sloane requested to amend the August minutes toaccurately reflect the vote to remove her as Secretary oft thel Prison Board. Ms.Sloane also statedt that she has not received an update regarding: a possible meeting with the WashingtonHospta president to discuss perceived overcharges from Washington Health System. Mrs. Vaughan responded that the Board of Commissioners. has a rescheduledmeting: onthe calendarwith thepresident ofthel hospital. Ms. Sloane stated that thel Board of Commissioners' does nothavet the. back up to present att the meeting with thel hospital and Mrs.Vaughan encouraged Ms Sloane to forward any documentation that supports the allegations sot thehospitalhas: an opportunity to review and respond. Mrs. Vaughanacknowledged the emailssent byMs. Sloane requestingt that the minutes from August's meeting be amendedand invited Solicitor] lana Grimm to respond. Mrs. Grimm stated that shel had been-followingi the emails and that ther response of Judge DiSalle was accurate. She further stated that the minutes were correct and were unanimously approved by thel Prison Board at the September meetingand that therèwere noi issues, objections, changes or additions raised att that time. Mrs. Grimm stated thatthe matter isclosed and noted that there was no violation oft the Sunshine. Act. NEW BUSINESS None.
