March 6, 2023:  Anthony Cox Elizabeth Doyle Jason Miles  Vernon Collins Courtney Hess Michael Sahlica Rodney Smith  Carol Dailey Richard Mersky Karen Shuff  Warden Fewell respectfully requests thel Prison Board approve thej purchase ofa SoftGuard safety restraint chair usingi inmate welfare funds. He continued by stating that once deployed, the safety restraint chair will assist correctional staffwith the custody, care, control, safety,security, health and welfare ofi incarcerated persons who are detoxing and/or seriously mentally ill. Mrs. Vaughan asked where the chair would be placed, and'do: you have a photograph of what itl looks like. Major Coddington responded stating that the facilityalreadyl has a chair liket this and thati iti is kept near booking. Hef further: stated that recently,they havel had need for more than one chair and briefly described the chaira and explained that thecostisaround: $3,900. Warden Fewell respectfully requested thel Prison Board awardthe bid for linen supplies for the Correctional Facility att the' "per unit" cost toVictory Supply, Mount Pleasant, Tennessee. If awarded, this contract willl be effective date ofapproval through December31, 2023, with the option to extend for two additional one-year periods ata at totalyearly.cost ofa approximately: $23,000. This bidi is being awarded tot thel lowest, mostresponsive andresponsible bidders meeting specifications. M-F weekends Hobart Service, Troy, Ohio 8-51 M-F- $127.00/hr.; 5-8 weekends $191.00 All work willl be done on at time and material basis as needed. Ifapproved, this extension willl be effective May 1, 2023 through April 30, 2024 with this beingt thel last available extension. This extension is contingent upon approval at the Board of Commissioners: meeting tol be held February Warden Fewell on behalf of Building and Grounds, respectfully requested the Prison Board award the bidi for fire alarmi inspections to Scalise Industries Corporation, dba EMCOR: Services, Lawrence, Pennsylvania at their submitted per inspection and hourly prices. Inspections, cleanings and modification costs will range between $400.00 and $2,400.00 peri inspection at an approximate annual cost of $58,00.00. Ifapproved, the contract willl be effective date ofa approval through December 31, 2024, witht the option to mutually extend for two additional one-year periods.
