He stated that landlords need to be more responsible for their tenants. The Mayor: asked the chieft to Robert Tloczynski from 8th street is here complaining about his neighbor collecting water and worried about the Zika virus that is going around. They have dirty, smelly water. He does not clean out the tanks every year like they say you: should do on the tree hugger website. Bruce and Rick Sharon Tloczynski from 8th street is walking with the crime watch once a week. They are watching the playgrounds and watching for drug activity. She stated that there are not jobs in this area & she thinks we need more police on duty. The Mayor and council suggested that she write to Gorder and Mausser about some of thei issues that she stated. Council asked ifs she is calling the police when she Craig Rhoades from Shamokin Street asked about the cell phone tower that was to go on Adams Street. The Mayor stated that that area was drilled and they hit a mine shaft so that area is not feasible. They looked for another site and right now: are, going to be using the cemetery site. They did some drilling before they do zoning to make sure that this site would work for them. The paperwork is being submitted for this site. Now the cemetery willl be able to hire a full time caretaker to help take care ofthe high grass that needs cut. The City of Shamokin has nothing to do with the cemetery. Craig also asked about the 150th anniversary committee money thati is sitting in an account under the City's name. The mayor said that this money will be allocated to the city. The account was opened under the advice oft the city's auditor. The 150th committee can turn the money over to the city to be held ina a special account.
