The Shamokin Crime Watch has agreed amongst its Executive Board to discuss with the City Council the possibility of providing and: supporting, on a volunteer basis, direct enforcement activities which are typically handled by the police department: and code enforcement. Such duties could include (but not limited to): Parking enforcement citations (illegal parking, abandoned vehicles, etc.), public event security, code violation citations (or notices/warnings), ordinance violations, and other similar activates. The general idea behind thej proposal ist to assist our city services and increase our mutual benefit of more focused services by our official police force, all which generating additional revenue for the city. Crime Watch meetings are held the last Tuesday of every month behind the police station at 6:30pm. DIRECTORS! STREET & PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS: The Sweeper is runningi its regular schedule, full weeks in PUBLIC: SAFETY: Councilman Brown read the Code office report for the month of February which May with warning tickets going out until April 11, when we will: start tagging. the office revenue collected was $25,426 with at total calls of37.
