AVENUE  CJL Engineering has submitted a site plan for review by the Planning Commission for improvements to the parking lot and sidewalks of221 Central Avenue (the former Cambria Rowe Business College site). CJL is present on behalf oft the. Johnstown Redevelopment Authority to discuss the plan. Keller Engineering has reviewed the plans and has found them to  bei in compliance with City site plan development regulations. SUBDIVISION APPROVAL: 320 MAIN STREET  The State Theater of. Johnstown has requested that the Planning Commission rereview the subdivision application of the. Johnstown State Theater site (320 Main Street) as the previous  subdivision was not recorded.    OLD BUSINESS:  IMPROVEMENTS TO ZONING) MAPS  a. Assistant Manager Ashcom will provide an update of the acquisition of GIS software for  the creation of zoning maps for the City. PUBLIC SAFETY BUILDING NEEDS ASSESSMENT  a. Chairman Carthew will provide an update on the needs assessment of the Public Safety a. City Staffhave corresponded with Mr. George Newsome oft the Pennsylvania Department ofCommunity and Economic Development. He has agreed to provide training to the Commission and City planning staff on the creation ofai new comprehensive plan. a. Planning Commission has expressed interest in examining the zoning designations of various City neighborhoods to recommend improvements parallel to the anticipated new Comprehensive Plan.
