This program provides affordable funding to develop essential community facilities and improve the quality of life in rural areas with no more than 20,000 residents according to the latest U.S. Census Data. Who may apply? Publicb bodies Community-based non-profit corporations Funds may be used for: Funds may be used to purchase, construct, and/ori improve essential communityfadilities, as well as purchase equipment and pay related project expenses. Examples of projects include: Computer, technology upgrades Construction, acquisition, or rehabilitation of facilities Street, parking, and paving improvements Maintenance equipment Emergency generators Training equipment Terms of loan: Low fixed interest rates (3.1250%, subject to change) Repayment terms: useful life of the security up to a maximum of 40 years. Please know all applications are considered as loan only first. Grant fundingi is awarded based on financial need, availability of funds, and are typically a maximum of $50,000.
