Chief Vakulick stated there will be a weight limit on the Fourth Avenue Bridge and reduced to a single lane. Stop signs will be on both ends of the bridge. Borough Manager Rossey stated Council received a copy of the proposed budget for 2014. He stated if Council has any questions, to contact him. He stated additional funds were added to demolition and paving and no changes need to be made as far as rates or taxes. He stated this Wednesday at 9:00 a.m., 26 trees will be planted in Tarentum. Volunteers are welcome to meet at the Tarentum Station, between 8:00 and 8:30 a.m., to register. He stated December 6 is the COG dinner and any Council member interested in attending to contact him. He stated the Allegheny County Boroughs Association dinner will be held December 12, 2013 and any Council member interested in attending to contact him. All Council members present were in favor and the Councilman Firko stated the Highland Hose report there were 25 alarms; total man hours 249; 12 automatic fire alarms; 1 smoke investigation; 2 electrical fires; 3 motor vehicle accidents; 4 structure fires; 1 water flow alarm; 1 EMS assist; 2 Mutual Aid responses. Eureka's report there were 34 calls; 10 automatic fire alarms; 7 motor vehicle crashes; 3 EMS responsesi 5 brush/recreational fires; 3 natural gas investigations; 2 physical rescuesi 1 smoke investigation; representing 162 personnel hours; 7 out of Borough Mutual Aid responsesi EMS responded to 250 calls, representing 1,061 personnel hours. Lineup will be at noon, with the parade starting at 1:00 p.m., followed by Christmas in the Park. He stated the Brackenridge Improvement Group is looking for support from this Council to help them with a joint venture in the parks, where the two parks come together.
