Adam Blythe reported the Family Dollar project is moving on, but asked CEO Fabec about updates. CEO Fabec stated he recently received an email from the Durban Group asking for assistance in the costs of asbestos removal from the Bowman property at a cost of approximately $6,000.00. A discussion was held regarding the request 2. Motion by Tim Cornuet second by Erika Josefoski to agree to pay up to (not to exceed 25% of cost) for asbestos abatement for Bowman property. Kim Sieminski stated that she owns a rental property and recently had to pay $1,000.00 delinquent bill left by her tenant to reinstate the electric. She stated the tenants moved down the street and were permitted to have utilities at the new property. When she called the office she was told that they took a double deposit for the new property, but that did not help her situation. She stated she had a letter on file that said she did not permit extensions and questioned how the bill was allowed to reach $1,000.00. Mayor 2. Lynn Leech stated she attended the October meeting and was to meet with council. Lori Wildi made the following statement; a. Thanked Erika Josefoski, Tim Cornuet and Chris Fabec the immediate action regarding the concerns for properties located on E 7th Ave b. Reported there has been some movement on other properties Asked about the Bertilino property on Corbet and 3rd and why no one is taking care the side of the building. Solicitor Regoli explained to Ms Wildi that this is an issue d. The median off the Tarentum exit is a mess and the Borough needs to do a better job cleaning it up. Solicitor Regoli reported that the Street Dept will be working to clean the median Nov 8 &9. There is a major safety issue that needed to be coordinated. Erika Josefoski reported that the Borough has purchased ground cover and red gravel and will be removing the weeds etc and replacing it at a cost e. She feels there is a public safety issue at the corner of E 7th Ave, S Ormond St, Gumert Alley and E6 6th Ave. She stated there are no stop signs at the alley and she feels S Ormond should be one way to avoid a collision Mayor Magnetta stated he would talk to Chief Vakulick regarding the issue and a traffic study would need to fort the owner to repair ofapp $7,000.00 be done 5 TARENTUM BOROUGH ALLEGHENY COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL MEETING NOVEMBER 1, 2017 4. Mr. Mayhugh complained about trash at the rental properties at 334 and 340 W: 10th Ave. He stated that it was cleaned up afterl last meeting, but nowi it'ss started again. Chris Fabec said that he spoke to the tenants and everything was ok, but then new tenants moved in, 6. Mr. Mayhugh stated that the fire hydrant by his house has never been flushed and his 7. Jerry Johns asked why the Allegheny Valley Residence discussion was removed from the agenda. Chris Fabec reported that someone wanted to purchase the property and puti in a drug rehab facility, this was not permitted per Borough Code and would have to get an exception. Since then, they decided not to purchase the building, someone else is wants to buyi it and put in a 12 bed mental health facility, which is permitted be code 8.
