SPECIAL MEETING TRITON HOSE COMPANY FEBRUARY 24, 2016 On this date, a special informational meeting, for the purpose of discussing proposed changes to fire protection (as provided by Triton Hose Company) and associated management practices, with representatives ofTriton and the municipalities of Tunkhannock Borough and Eaton, Lemon, and Tunkhannock Townships, was. held ini the Training Room of the Triton Hose Company Building, 116 West Tioga Street, Tunkhannock, PA. The meeting was duly advertised, In attendance from the Borough were Mayor Norm Ball, Council Member and Finance Committee Chairman Scott Douthett, and Council Members Ruth Vincenti, Lisa Tesluk, Marshall Davis, and Stacy Huber. Other attendees included: Paul Rowker and Ken White (Eaton Township); John Keefe (Lemon Township); Veto Barziloski, Glenn Shupp, Randy White, and Judy Gingher (Tunkhannock Township); Triton Hose Company Chuck Sands (President), Randy White (Chief) and members Bill Gaylord, Wayne Krause, Ron Coolbaugh, Bridget White, and Kevin Kukuchka; Lake Carey Fire Department Members Leigh Sickler and Justin Sickler; and Reporter C.J. Marshall (Wyoming County Press Examiner). Note: Attendee Randy White At 5:00 p.m., Chairman Douthett opened this informal meeting by providing a briefhistorical recap ofe events leading to and affecting the matters at hand, e.g., reasons/rationale for the proposed changes, disposition ofand responsibilities for the Fire Fund, etc. Discussions and questions followed, principally concerning financial responsibilities tol be assumed and/or amended, timing of the proposed actions, and workers' compensation insurance obligations, all of which appeared to be well received and understood by the participants.
