Motion carried. The Human Services Center Mon Valley is offering free tax preparation from. January 30-April 12, 2023 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for person that qualify. Appointment only by calling 211 or visit pa211sw.org. Citizens Report: Beth Hamill- 1413 Maple Avenue-reporting that there is garbage on the property address 415 Mercer Street. There is an open door at the home located at 416 Mercer Street. Children have been playing with tires in the neighborhood. There are tires located on the property near her property. Mr. Bianchi stated that the Borough will send letters toi the property owner with the trash and tires. The Street Department will be notified to secure the door at 416 Mercer Street. Shei is concerned: about all the trash located around town and would like to have a group of volunteers tol help to clean up and to help educate the younger individuals about littering. Committee Reports: Ms. Henkel- None Mr. Osman- Motion to approve Change Order for the ALCOSAN Regionalization Trunk Sewer Takeover repairs with Specialty Pipe Services, LLC, using Sub Contractor Soli Construction in the amount of $49,838.70. She has been Mr. Spencer- There has been traffic problems in the location of Propel School on Monroeville Avenue. The intersection is at three way stop. The Committee is recommending moving the stop sign on Monroeville Avenue at the school to the corner of Monroeville Avenue and Locust Street. working with CONNECT group that helps small communities work together. Motion Ms. Henkel, Mr. Osman approving the moving of the stop sign from Monroeville Avenue to Locust Street. Question called: The Borough is trying toi find a wayt to help with the congestion int the area. Motion carried. The Police and Public Safety Committee is asking the Civil Service Commission for a test for a Full Time Police Officer list. Motion Mrs. Tinsley, Mr. Nolan approving the request to the Civil Service Commission to give test and give the Borough a Certified List. Motion carried. The Police and Public Safety Committee has received a request for al Handicap spot in the vicinity 112 Watson Drive. The requestor has submitted all the required documentation. Motion Mr. Nolan, Ms. Henkel approving the handicap spot in the vicinity of 112 Watson Drive. Question called: There is a no parking area at: 112 Watson Drive building. People who have al Monday, Thursday or Friday pickups will now be on' Wednesdays starting Wednesday, February: 15, 2023. Waste Management had requested the change. Page! 5 Police and Public Safety: Mayor Forgie- None Solicitor- Comment on the Stop sign change. The change can occur by simple resolution if the original ordinance for the stop signs allows. Ifnot, a new ordinance would be required. Old Business: Mr. Spencer, Mr. Estocin, ratifying the action taken by the Borough Administrator in the payment of the.
