Roll Call: President Bianchi - absent Mr. Estocin - absent Ms. Henkel = absent Mr. Nolan - present Solicitor - present Mr. Osman - present Mr. Spencer = present Mrs. Tinsley - present Mayor Forgie - present by phone Approval of the July 2022 minutes: Motion Ms. Osman, Mr. Nolan approving the July 2022 regular mpeting minutes as submitted. Motion carried. Correspondence: 2022-2023 Road Salt Contracts are as follows: Answer: 80% with SHACOG and 60% with COSTAR. SHACOG Contract $88.96 per ton and COSTAR Contract $68.04 per ton. Question from Mr. Spencer, what is the percentage that the Borough has to purchase. Motion Mr. Nolan, Mr. Osman approving the 2022-2023 Road Salt Contract with SHACOG and COSTAR. Request to the Borough parking by the Total Salvation church for the Full Body Expose on Saturday, Motion carried. August 13, 2022. Motion Mr. Nolan, Mr. Osman approving the use of the Borough parking lot for the Full Body Expose, as long as a certificate of Insurance is received name the Borough as additional insured. Citizens Reports: Thomas Evancho-235 Brown Avenue, Asked if anything is going to be done about some blight Mr. Spencer responded council will review the blight structures near his home. Committee Reports: Mr. Spencer- The Borough needs to authorize the advertising of Borough Ordinance #1151, extending the contract with Wilkinsburg Penn Joint' Water Authority for 50 years. Motion Mr. Osman, Ms. Nolan approving the motion to advertise Borough Ordinance #1151. Mayor Forgie also supports the agreement with Wilkinsburg Penn Joint Water Authority. Motion carried. The Oak Avenue Ext. wall repair will be beginning in the next couple of weeks. Mr. Osman- There was a sink hole on Maple Avenue, The Water. Authority was notified to fix. Mrs. Tinsley- Would like to thank Beth Hamill and Dale Bizub for all the work they have done at the Home Plate Garden. She would also like to thank all the volunteers including Mrs. Eileen Pickle, Denny Damico and Barb Fallon. The Home Plate Garden has reached out to a new garden on Church Street.
