Motion carried. Correspondence: Transfer $90,000.00 from the Sinking Fund or the American Relief money for the Oak Avenue Ext. Wall Project. Motion Ms. Henkel, Mr. Estocin approving the transfer of $90,000 for the Oak Avenue Ext. Wall Motion carried. Request to use the Hamilton Avenue Playground from the Braddock of Carnegie Library on June 6, June 23, July 14, July 28 and August 11. Motion Mr. Estocin, Mrs. Tinsley approving the use of Hamilton Avenue Playground to the Braddock of Carnegie Library. Motion carried. 3 To advertise for bids Garbage Hauling Contract 2023. Motion Ms. Henkel, Mr. Estocin approving the advertising for bids for the Garbage Hauling Contract 2023. Motion carried. Citizens Reports: Steve Wiedemer- Resident of 1415 Chestnut Street-He stated that he signed up for a program-Tree Vitalization-Signed up to be a tree tender. What is need from the Borough is a letter of support and a tree ordinance. Mr. Spencer stated that council will review and decide by August. Anna Lawson-376 Highland Avenue, asked if paving would be done in the area from Triboro Highway, onto Highland Avenue/Negley Avenue this year. Also Sanderson Alley behind Highland Avenue needs paved. Mr. Spencer stated that the area was not on the paving chart for this year but can be added for next year. Ask Mr. Laurito to check on Sanderson Brian Sink-Operator of the Red Lantern Bike Shop on Shaw Avenue, He stated that he heard there was a problem with the sign he put on the Alley and see if he can fill the potholes. building. A sign application was reviewed by the Zoning Official and the decision was he would need to have a hearing in front of the Zoning Board of Adjustments for a variance. Temporary or not a hearing is required. Committee Reports: Ms. Henkel = none Mr. Estocin = none 4 Mrs. Tinsley- Thanked all the volunteers who have helped get the Community Garden started. They had some new volunteers this year. She also thanked Mr. Estocin and Council for the approval that was granted to the Braddock Carnegie Library use of the Hamilton Avenue Mr. Spencer-New police vehicle was sent to Mosside Motor to get the new equipment installed. The other new police vehicle will sent to Mosside soon. The two older vehicles will be sold on Municibid. Playground. If resident see Juveniles out pass curfew please call 911. On May 16, 2022 met with the group against gun violence. They have stated they would be doing walks around town. Also attended a prayer service at the Electric Heights Church on James Street to discuss violence and reflection. 5 Mayor Forgie would like to thank Lou Lantzy for the connection with the AMVets that held Memorial Day service.
