2 Council Meeting July 12, 2021 Turtle Creek Borough regular monthly Council meeting held on July 12, 2021 was called too order by President Nick Bianchi who led the Pledge of Allegiance. Council entered into a Public Hearing. Roll Call: President Bianchi - present Mr. Estocin - absent Ms. Henkel - present Mr. Nolan - present Solicitor - present Correspondence: Mr. Osman - present Mr. Spencer - present Mrs. Tinsley = present Mayor Kelley - present The Braddock Carnegie Library Association would like to hold outdoor Story Time, called Story Time in the Park on August 11thand 18"h at 10:30am at Hamilton Park. An application was submitted. Motion Ms. Henkel, Mr. Nolan approving the application, submitted by Mandy' Williams of the Carnegie Library Association, to hold Story Time in the Park at Hamilton Park on August 11th and 18th. Motion carried. Citizens Reports: Avenue. within 30 days. Brian Bartles = owner of several properties in Turtle Creek, asked Council what the President Bianchi stated that they will have it looked at and will have an answer for him Mr. Bartles asked if Council had heard anything new about the Mon Valley Expressway. President Bianchi stated that he had not heard anything new. Committee Reports: President Bianchi = stated that the Borough Building will be open to the public on Due to the pandemic, the Federal Government provided funds to us, with the first payment being $268,000. We are waiting for clearer regulations on what we can spend iton. We would like to use it for Loss Prevention, paving, and demolition. CD 46 Demolition is set to start next week. He also stated that they purchased the new high lift, using a grant in the amount of $50,000. Mrs. Tinsley = stated that there is an abundance of produce at the Home Plate Garden due to all the rain. We are looking to make more donations if anyone knows of anyone Mr. Spencer = request for al handicap parking space ini the vicinity 103 Harper Drive. The Committee has investigated and there are handicap parking spaces at 102 and 104 Harper Drive, therefore the Committee recommends denying the application. in need. The farm stand is every Wednesday and Saturday 10am = noon. Motion Mr. Spencer, Mr. Bianchi denying the application for a handicap parking space in the vicinity of 103 Harper Drive'. Motion carried. *Mr. Osman - No Mr. Spencer stated that he was disappointed that he could not get a second on the motion, and explained that making these decisions are not easy. President Bianchi stated that everyone has the right to their own opinion. Motion Mr. Osman, Mrs. Tinsley ratifying the action taken by the Borough Administrator int the payment of the June 2021 bills ini the amount of $539,013.74. Motion carried.
